Story

Vernon is a 2-year-old, 12-pound poodle mix who may take a little time to warm up, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality starts to shine.Vernon absolutely thrives with another dog by his side and would love a confident canine companion in his forever home. Having a buddy helps him feel safe and brings out his playful, affectionate side.He is house trained and crate trained, and he settles nicely in his crate. Vernon does well with kids, although he can get a little nervous around fast or loud movements, so a calmer home or older, respectful children would likely be the best fit.Once Vernon trusts you, don’t be surprised if this little guy wants to be right in your lap. He’s a gentle, sweet boy who just needs someone willing to give him a little time to feel safe.Vernon’s ideal home:-Another friendly, confident dog -A patient family willing to let him warm up at his own pace -A calm environment where he can continue building confidence -Respectful kids who understand that he can be a little nervousVernon may not be the dog who immediately runs up to greet everyone, but give him a little time-and you’ll see what a special little guy he is.Adoption fee: $700All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an online application at JRsPupsNStuff.org.
