Update: so he went for his haircut so we have added new pictures Meet Sven, will get better pictures once he been groomed on Monday. He is a little guy, hypo allergenic and will need regular grooming. Since he is tiny we would prefer a home with no small children, teenagers and up would be ok. We don't know how he would do with cats since there are none here. He loves attention and will keep jumping in your lap to get petted. He is completely vetted including being neutered. Now I'm safe, loved, and settling into my foster home while I wait for my forever family to find me! Right now, Im couch surfing with my foster momma, soaking up all the cuddles I can. Anyone looking for a dog that’s more like a cat? A dog that wants your comfortable house and daily food service, but wants absolutely nothing to do with you? A dog that excels at judging you from the corner and declaring with her eyes “don’t even think about approaching me”? A dog you forget is even there with you? Well let me introduce Blair! She is calm. She is quiet. She is crate and house trained. And She is absolutely terrified of humans. We don’t know Blair’s full story, but we do know whatever happened to her made her gut wrenchingly afraid of people. She must be kept on a tie out in a fenced in yard when outside or you can not get her back inside. She has to be cornered to be caught in the house and then carried outside to the tie out to get her outside. At her foster home she spends her days sitting in as far an opposite corner as she can get from her foster. She keeps a constant eye on her foster and bolts to another corner if she approaches at all. Blair will need a very special adopter. Someone who wants a project and who has the patience of a saint. Someone who is willing to spend months and even years just sitting with Blair and slowly slowly slowly helping her to learn all humans aren’t whatever it is she experienced for her first years of life. Helping her learn humans can be gentle, and kind, and patient, and become your best friend. But it truly may take years. She has been in her foster home for several months with only minuscule improvement. Things like she will now lay in a dog bed instead of next to it. She has started to occasionally come into the house on her own as long as the door is left open and her foster hides so Blair can’t see her. But even that is only sometimes, depending on Blair’s mood or the direction of the wind or who knows what!. Oddly Blair does seem to be less afraid of men and children. Blair also loves dogs and is good with cats and rabbits. She doesn’t appear to have any prey drive. And the best part about Blair is she has never shown even a hint of aggression, even in the midst of her fear. She is a gentle soul who now needs a hero. He is extremely calm, and fell asleep a few times in the sun during our time together. Whether it was in my lap, in the grass or in his bed, I don’t think he really cared where he was, he just loved to relax in the sun! Super easy going. Despite his vision impairment he loved to be outside. He was good on leash too, didn’t pull and was easy to redirect when he was going in circles :) Such a gentle soul!" Sleepover review: "Has not made a single peep (no barking or crying), he is super quiet! Slept the entire night in his gated area He is obsessed with blankets. All he wants to do is snuggle up and bury himself into a ton of blankets. The key to Minty’s heart = blankets! He doesn’t really go on “walks” moreso just enrichment sniffing outside. He will bump into things so just be cautious on that of course! Fully potty trained !!!! Despite him being blind, he’s really easy going :) and also easy to take care of He’s special in his own way. He’s kind of more like a cat lol but in the best way possible."
