Rocky is ready to graduate to a forever home! He is a mini poodle weighing about 15 lbs. He was born December 2021. Rocky came to TRI after being used for years of breeding. He's now neutered and is a healthy boy. Rocky is dog friendly. He requires a fenced area for potty breaks because he is not walking on leash at this time. He will need help with learning to walk on leash. Rocky has made strides with potty training and a new owner will need to continue to work on this. We have a lot of new faces here at The Rescue Inn ! This is Neville, a 2-5 year old mini poodle! Neville - formerly Pooh Bear - came to us from our friends at the Holmes County Dog Warden's Department and Adoption Center! They did an amazing job trapping Neville and getting him safe. Neville is about 18 1/2 pounds. He is currently shaved before his fur was too far gone to be groomed after he was running amuck. His fur is a red color when grown out. Neville is looking for a quieter forever home! He is doing really well in foster care with dogs of all ages and sizes. Neville would excel with a canine friend to give confidence and follow as a role model. Neville does great on leash. Neville doesn't mind being held, and he is on the shy side right now. With time and as his bond strengthens with a new family, that may change. MBR holds monthly adoption events on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Tractor Supply in Columbia Station, 24100 Royalton Road from 11 am - 2 pm. Questions can be emailed to rescue@mbrohio.com Meet Checkers! A 2-year-old, 12-pound mini-Doodle. Checkers is a sweet, cuddly little guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He absolutely thrives on attention and would happily be your tiny coworker — he loves sleeping right beside his person while they work and is content to snooze peacefully just about anywhere. Checkers gets along wonderfully with other small dogs and loves to play and chase with his canine friends. He has not yet met children. While he doesn’t seem aggressive toward cats, he does try to chase them — especially at night — and will corner them in what appears to be playful behavior. However, because of this, we feel a cat-free home would be the safest and best fit for everyone. He is crate trained and settles nicely after a few minutes of protest — once he’s relaxed, he sleeps through the night. He’s currently working on potty training and making good progress. He takes correction well and is eager to please. Checkers is a toy enthusiast, especially when it comes to crinkle toys! He also loves treats and takes them ever so gently. When it comes to meals, he can be a bit of a foodie — he prefers a little something tasty mixed into his kibble, but once you add a spoonful of wet food or topper, he cleans his bowl. More than anything, Checkers loves companionship. He does not enjoy being left alone for long periods and would do best in a home where someone is around often or where he has another playful dog for company. If you’re looking for a cuddly, playful little shadow who will happily keep you company all day long, Checkers may be your perfect match. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, the first thing to do is submit an application for approval. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the rescue location as it is a privately run boarding, training, & grooming facility. Individual meet and greets are scheduled by appointment only for approved adopters. Age: 2 years Adoption Fee: $400

Story
Geppetto is a 9 year old mini red poodle who gets along with dogs, however has resource guarding issues and can be territorial. He currently lives with two other dogs, a labradoodle and a Newfoundland mix. He is very well trained! He has developed a mild, chronic cough with old age which has been confirmed by my vet on 1/17/26 that it is NOT kennel cough, and due to his age and breed. Some days he doesn’t cough at all. I have situational medication he can take to subdue his cough if necessary. He LOVES fetching, playing ball, running around, barking, and napping. He is very low maintenance and has a small appetite. He does not like being held at the hips or touched at the hips but loves cuddling. He loves other dogs but could be a single dog, in a quiet household without children. He is a very good boy and has never pottied in the house. I am happy to have him vaccinated for the adopter.

I am a very loyal guy. I am a full of love and need another person/family to be close to. I am good with dogs and would be a great playmate. I am also good with children. I am house and crate trained, but I am good loose too. There's really nothing bad to say about me, except I do need groomed every 6 weeks. It keeps my hair from getting natty. As poodles go, I am intelligent, if I do say so myself.
