We truly appreciate your patience while we work through this issue — and thank you for wanting to help a rescue dog — Loyal Rescue â Name/Tag#: Wednesday 4419 Age: ~20 months Sex/Altered: Female/Spayed Weight: 15 lbs Breed: Poodle Mix Foster Home Location: OTTAWA, ON Adoption Fee: $800.00 Temperament: Curious, playful, friendly once comfortable Activity/Energy Level: Medium Up to date on Shots: Yes Housebroken: Progressing well Crate Trained: No Ok with Dogs: Yes Ok with Cats: Yes, but chases and wants to play. Not aggressive Ok with Kids: Yes, gentle kids over 7 (lots of teeth mouthing when she plays) Origin: Shelter Release Requirements: Securely fenced yard, someone home most of the time, previous dog ownership, no kids under 7 years And now, a few words from me: Don’t let my dark eyes fool you, I am a cheerful and curious girl. I might pretend to be shy at first, but I definitely have humans figured out. Snacks: Check. Walks: Check Cuddles: Check. I love to play and run around the yard, but when I find a favourite lap to lay on, it's hard not to settle into it. I am a little bit cautious about the new humans, but I am starting to figure out that most of them are ok, and if I stay close to my foster mom or dad for a while, I might even give them a lick or two. And now, a few words from my foster mom: Wednesday is a spunky little thing. She is shy at first, but warms up quickly and for a tiny dog, she definitely has learned to find her own spaces. She adores running around the yard and a good game of chase, especially with the family cat who luckily doesn’t mind the play. She’s very bright, and learns routines quickly. As a former stray, some of the skills she’s learned along the way have been a work in progress to adjust to home living (all food is her food… including whatever is on the table, or her mom’s plate, housetraining, incredibly high jump skills) but she learns quickly and responds well to praise. She enjoys playing with other dogs, and despite being ¼ of her size has shown her foster sister who is boss! Her priority at home is definitely human attention, so she would be well suited to a home on her own, or with a playful easygoing pup. Wednesday does play shy when she first meets new people, but after a couple of meetings becomes interested and affectionate. She has no preference for men or women, and housetraining is progressing well. Questions?
