Story
Meet Chyna – Your Quiet Little Shadow 🐾 Chyna arrived from Mexico just last Friday, but it feels like she’s been gently stealing hearts for much longer. At 8 years old and a dainty 10 lbs, this petite sweetheart is as soft in spirit as she is in step. She’s incredibly quiet—so much so, her foster mom has only heard her bark once! Instead, she lets out the tiniest mews or whimpers when she sees you’re heading out, but she settles quickly, never making a fuss. She’s fine with respectful children   Chyna adores other dogs and finds special comfort in the companionship of her foster sibling (a doodle). Though she might still be figuring out the language, she’s wonderfully responsive to hand signals and gentle cues. She’s house-trained and polite—just be mindful of her subtle way of waiting by the door when she needs to go. She doesn’t appear to be food motivated, but enjoys her breakfast and dinner. She hasn’t shown interest in toys yet—likely because she never had them before—but what she does love is closeness. Her happiest moments are spent curled up beside her foster mom, pressed into cozy blankets, soaking up every ounce of affection. She sleeps soundly in bed with her mom, barely moving, just grateful to be near someone she trusts.  Chyna has been fine staying alone at home with her foster brother for a couple of hours during the day. Chyna walks beautifully on a leash and does a sweet little happy dance when it’s time to go outside. She doesn’t have a preference for grass and is perfectly comfortable doing her business on the sidewalk. She’s great in the car, and totally unbothered by squirrels, cats, or other distractions. A fenced yard is a must as she loves to explore the world with her sweet little nose -  she would continue to wander without a clear boundary Chyna would thrive in a quiet, loving home where she can continue to blossom. She isn’t overly energetic, finding 2 or 3 short walks ample. She doesn’t ask for much—just a warm lap, a soft blanket, and someone to love her back as deeply as she loves. Could Chyna be your little shadow ? Chyna is being fostered in Whitby. ••••••••• As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly. Check back often for details! An application for me can be found at www.justpaws.ca. Just Paws is located in the Greater Toronto Area of Ontario, Canada. We do not adopt out of province or country. Please note that although many of our dogs get along with children, we are not able to adopt to any household with kids under the age of 8 years old. This is a stipulation of our insurance and is not a reflection on suitability of the potential adopter.

Story
Ollie and Lulu were surrendered to us when their owner no longer had the time to care for them. They both had untreated medical issues and severe dental disease, leaving them extremely uncomfortable and lethargic. After receiving treatment they became almost entirely different dogs. Ollie and Lulu may be seniors but they sure do like to go for walks and run around the yard together. They are a volunteer favourite because of their goofy and sweet dispositions. They are selective with dogs and would only do well in a home with another calm dog that does not intimidate or become rough with them. Ollie does bark at other dogs in passing, while Lulu ignores them. Ollie and Lulu would do well in just about any home. They have been great with respectful children that are experienced with dogs. Lulu can sometimes have grumpy moments when she wants her space to nap. It's important to look for the obvious signs when she needs alone time. Ollie is always happy and ready for a cuddle. This cute duo have great house manners, they frequently go on sleepovers with our dedicated volunteers who report they are always on their best behaviour. Story
Luco is an 8-year-old male poodle with a story that tugs at the heart. Once part of a family, he was sadly abandoned and ended up in a high-kill shelter, scheduled for euthanasia. Thankfully, he was rescued just in time. Despite what he’s been through, Luco still believes in people. He warmly approaches strangers and gets along well with other dogs. He’s social, kind, and full of love to give. Though he's 8 years old, Luco is in great health and still enjoys walks and staying active. He’s smart and well-mannered — fully house-trained and uses pee pads like a pro. Luco is the kind of companion whose quiet presence brings warmth and comfort. He may not have had someone by his side all these years, but he’s ready to give his heart to a family who will truly love him. Could you be the forever home that brings light and love into Luco’s life — and in return, receive a loyal friend who will brighten your every day?

Story
Currently in a toronto foster home Meet Bam – A Sweet Soul Ready for a Second Chance Bam is a 5-year-old male Poodle weighing approximately 6kg. He was rescued from a breeding facility, where he spent his early life in a cramped, cold wire cage. Despite his difficult past, Bam has shown incredible resilience. He has completed treatment for heartworm and is now well on the road to recovery. His health has greatly improved, and so has his spirit. Bam absolutely adores people. He craves human affection and will lovingly follow you around, always wanting to stay close. He prefers the company of humans over other dogs and truly thrives in one-on-one interactions. Due to his past, Bam still needs some help with house training and may show signs of separation anxiety when left alone. However, with consistent love and a secure environment, he has every potential to grow into a confident, happy companion. Bam is looking for a patient and compassionate family who can offer him the warmth and love he’s longed for. If you have a gentle heart and room in your home, Bam might just be the perfect addition to your life. Give Bam the loving forever home he deserves.
