Shaggy is two year old, 5 lb Miniature Poodle/Yorkshire Terrier mix. Foster mom says that he is a very sweet boy and a total lap dog. He just wants to be with his people as much as possible. He gets along with the other small dog in his foster home, and they love to run zoomies around the backyard. He is house trained, doesn’t mind being in his crate and sleeps in his crate all night, although he could be persuaded to sleep in bed with his people if allowed. One of his favorite things is snuggling on the bed first thing in the morning after going out to do his potty. He’s not an indiscriminate barker, but he will let you know if there’s someone at the door or if there’s an unfamiliar noise in the house. This resilient boy has a gentle spirit and Meet Uno, an 11-year-old ray of sunshine and beloved resident of the sanctuary. Rescued after spending over a year wandering alone along railroad tracks, Uno arrived with a severely matted coat and eyes scarred from prolonged exposure to the elements. He takes medications and Vitamin Supplements to help his eyes. Despite his rough past, Uno's spirit shines bright. He’s an incredibly happy boy who radiates love and joy to everyone he meets. His gentle heart, wagging tail, and ever-present smile remind us daily of the resilience of animals and the healing power of compassion. Uno truly lives up to his name—he’s one of a kind. So much love to give.
