Mia is a 5-year-old, 20-pound female schnauzer mix who came to us from Mexico. She’s a serene, independent, and very cuddly little pup with a gentle spirit. Mia is still adjusting to life in the city and takes things at her own pace. She enjoys chewing on her bones, curling up next to you for a cozy nap, and quietly exploring her surroundings. During her time with her foster family, Mia appears to be housetrained. Mia is still building confidence on leash. She moves slowly and stays very aware of her surroundings, and she can be fearful of unfamiliar dogs on the street. When she feels unsure, she is comfortable being picked up so you can continue on your walk. Her forever family will need to continue reinforcing the great progress she is already making and help her keep building confidence. Mia has done very well staying home while her fosters are at work. She is a perfect little angel who usually spends that time napping. When her foster family is home, she loves being cozy with them and is often found snuggled up with her favorite blanket. Mia is looking for a calm, low-key home where she will have the time and space to truly blossom. She could do well as the only dog or with another calm, trustworthy dog. She would thrive with people who respect her independence while still giving her plenty of gentle affection and pets Vaccinated for Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella. Neutered and microchipped. Clyde is a 5 year-old, 10 pound male terrier mix from Mexico! Clyde is a patient, affectionate, and handsome pup. He has adjusted very well during his time in the city. Clyde enjoys napping on his pouf, snack time, and walks around the neighborhood. Clyde is a fast learner and is working on obedience training. During his time with his foster family, he seems to be house trained. When let out at least 3 times a day he has not had any accidents in the house. Clyde is great on a leash and waits patiently to get dressed up in his harness and any additional weather gear. His forever family will need to continue working with Clyde to reinforce and advance the progress he has been making. Clyde has done well when left alone during the day. He has not shown signs of separation anxiety, although he gets very giddy and excited to greet his foster family when they arrive home. He loves to be cozy with his foster family and can often be found with his favorite duck squeaky toy. Clyde is looking for a medium active family. He mostly sleeps during the day but loves taking his walks and playing inside with his foster family. He would do great as a solo dog or with another dog at home. He gets along great with his foster family’s dog, and loves sniffing other dogs when he passes them on the sidewalk. Clyde has not spent extended time with children, but he has shown no signs of aggression and has greeted children while out on walks so he should do fine in a home with kids. She loves other dogs and people of all ages. She is still working on her potty training but making good progress in her foster home and just needs her forever family to continue the training! She's around 7lb and will be a very small dog when fully grown (10lbs-ish). All of our pets are located in Houston TX and will not be transported until adopted. Hi there, I'm Latte. I'm a 15 pound 3 year old Schnazuer/Terrier mix that loves being around other dogs. While my background is a bit of a mystery, I know my future looks bright! The volunteers at the rescue, and most especially my foster mom, are being so patient with me while I try to figure out this world outside of a kennel. They all thought it would take me a long time to trust others and warm up....but nope, I'm being super brave and trying really hard every day. My foster mom even said "I'm amazed at how far she's come in a short period of time." Everyone says dogs are so resilient and I think they must be talking about me! I'm walking really well on a leash, even in a big pack of dogs. I'm so proud of myself! I'm playing with the other dogs at my foster home too. I mean, I really know how to make dog friends. I'm enjoying getting to know my foster mom and I'm even sleeping on the floor near her bed and taking treats from her hand....And I only met her a few weeks ago. I know it may sound like bragging, but well, I am! I'm a really fun dude that can't wait to show off all my new found doggie skills in my forever home.
