Story
Meet Comet. He is a Schnoodle. He is 8 years old and weighs 25 lbs. His plight started when his owners moved from a house into an apartment and he was stressed, and he bit the older daughter when he ran under a bed, and she was trying to drag him from under it. It scared him. So, they took him to the vet to euthanize him and a nice lady with a cat rescue overheard what was going on. They had just weighed him to put him down! He needs a break and a good, loving home. We are hoping for someone that is home more than not. Someone that will be committed to him. He is not a huge fan of storms but does fine with extra attention. He is house trained.  He needs an experienced owner and someone who will work with the training he has received.  He just finished three weeks of training and we will share the trainer's info to make sure you can work together.    He needs an active owner who enjoys walking, lor light jogging.  He needs a seasoned dog owner and a strong leader.  Applications to foster or adopt Comet are at codysfriendsrescue.org ##1996053##

Story
Kamori was rescued off an abandoned property where 30 dogs were living. They were all fighting to survive and wouldn't have made it through the freeze. We are so grateful we were able to find a foster to save their lives. Kamori is a super sweet and spunky pup who loves everyone she meets. She would live another doggy companion to spend her days with.  ##1995838##

Story
Meet Newton! My name is Newton, I am a 5 year old, salt and pepper 81% Miniature Schnauzer and 19% Small Poodle mix weighing at only 9.6 pounds. I have natural ears and a docked tail. Although I am considered an adult, I think of myself as a puppy at heart! Toys are my new favorite thing and I love to roll around in the grass. I recently learned the joys of going on leisurely walks, but I still need some help and encouragement along the way. Potty training you ask? I would say I am about 90% potty trained, but when left alone I need to wear a belly band or stay in my crate to ensure no accidents occur. Other than that, I am pretty darn perfect! To me, my ideal home would be where my parents are home more than not and can provide me a calmer lifestyle. I may seem a little bit timid at first in my new home, but once I am comfortable, my adorable self will be sure to shine. All I ask is my future family be patient and understanding as I settle in.I get along with just about any dog. It takes me a little longer to warm up to male figures, but I promise that once we get to know each other, I will never leave your side! I have not been around kids much. However, I think I would do great if they were older in age. If I sound like your dream pup, I would love to get to meet you and see if we are a good fit!To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!

Story
Ahoy! I'm Captain Hook! I am a 3 year old, 27 pound, male fox terrier mix. I am a sweet boy that loves people. Outside, I'm playful and energetic. I calm down inside and just love to give my people kisses. I am part Border Collie and have some herding behavior. I would be best in a family that understands herding dogs. I can be a little scared of new people but I am always excited to see people I know. I would do well with another dogs. I would not do well with a kid in the home.
