Story
Welcome Polly to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-pound Mini Schnauzer mixed with Chihuahua. She should be 15 pounds or less full grown. Her mom looks exactly like a high mixed schnauzer. Polly is very fluffy and while he likes being held. In fact, she is less active than her brother Teddy and cuddlier. She is crate trained, good with his sibling, good in a car and uses potty pads. She isn’t overly vocal and is the next most fluffy in the litter. She is not a shedder at all that we can see. Her coat is soft and if you groomed her in a schnauzer cut, would look like a mini black schnauzer. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older, due to his small size. Puppies are best with someone not working all day every day. She needs time with her human and time to finish up her puppy training. She is small enough and social, so he would be a good one to take places with you. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 600 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!! https://youtu.be/6tgYHIYEA4o

Story
Hi, I'm Baron! Before I came here, I lived in a place where there were too many of us… too many dogs, not enough care, not enough space. I had to survive among nearly 70 others. Every day felt like a competition—for food, for safety, for a place to exist. So I learned something early on… to protect myself first. That’s why, when you come close to me now, I might take a small step back. I might look unsure… like I’m deciding whether it’s safe. But if you wait—just a little—you’ll see something else. I come back. I walk around you, slowly, carefully… because even though I’m scared, a part of me still wants to trust. I’m not a dog who has closed his heart. I’m a dog who is trying to open it. Since being rescued, I’ve already started to change. At first, I couldn’t even move… I stayed curled up, frozen in fear. But now? When I see people, I bark to say “I’m here!” Sometimes… I even hope you’ll notice me. I think… I want love. I’m just still learning how. I’ll need time. More than some other dogs, maybe. Being alone might feel scary at first, because I’m so used to always having others around me. And there are many things I’ve never learned—like living in a home, or where I should go to the bathroom. But if you teach me gently, if you give me patience instead of pressure, I will keep coming closer. Step by step. On my own. I’m not looking for a perfect person. I’m looking for someone who can wait. Someone who won’t rush me, who will understand that love, for me, is something that grows slowly… but deeply. If you can do that—if you can walk this slow path with me—one day, I won’t step back anymore. I’ll come to you first. I’ll trust you completely. And I’ll finally learn what it feels like to rest in someone’s warmth… without fear. I don’t want to live in fear anymore. I want to live in gentle hands, in a quiet, safe home… with you. Will you wait for me? 💛

Basil has truly seen it all. It’s absolutely shocking & disturbing what these dogs endure but they fight for their lives. Soul destroying to think of what he has been through & yet he still loves human beings even after everything they have done to him. We cannot even begin to imagine what Kuba witnessed & heard when he was at the slaughterhouse. How Basil ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption & yes you did read that correctly, we will never know? What we do know is, he was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Basil & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting Basil out, his fate was a torturous death. We believe every sweet soul such as Basil & his friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Basil is looking for a special family to cherish him & be patient with him & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all his needs. Basil was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Basil was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. This boy is the biggest sweetheart you will ever meet. He just wants you to love him & he will love you back. He adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in his life to show him such true love & affection. When he finds people who love him they become his world. He is a cheeky schnauzer his foster mum said with a huge personality & so joyous. He loves to run & play with his foster siblings & must go to a home with another dog in the home. He loves a good outfit & will get ready for you to put one on him. Basil eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. All of his treats are homemade Basil has been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. He would need continued work walking on his harness & leash. Basil is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Basil adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, baths, the hairdryer he loves it all. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Basil & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. So far he has started showing interest in toys in his foster home. Basil has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. He is such an amazing, loving little lad. With Basil we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy. He will bark his head off if you leave him in a crate. We are also looking for a forever home for Basil where someone is home during the day or Basil can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Basil is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding. Basil has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company. He can be found at times snuggled up to his foster siblings. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Basil’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Basil is now roughly 14 lbs & is 2 years old & a miniture schnauzer & what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is microchipped, up to date on his shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. We have spent over $2000 on Basil with bringing him to the US with his travel airfare paying for his medical care, including, shots, neuter microchip etc, than his adoption fee comes close to covering. Basil has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Basil with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Basil was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Basil’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Basil potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Basil & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Basil who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet boy. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Basil has an adoption fee of $885 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Anna has seen & witnessed evil in life. She was pulled out of a slaughterhouse with one of our other rescues Kimi while he was covered in blood & the butcher had already started chopping him up & they both were surrounded by a pile of deceased bloody dogs. She will even put her paws on you for cuddles just as she cuddles into you while sleeping next to you. She radiates gratitude. She just wants you to love her & she will love you back. She adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in her life to show her such true love & affection apart from a day or 2 at her foster home in China. She is a really smart girl too because on the day of arrival in her foster home she taught herself to run up hardwood stairs & follow her foster mum. When she finds people who love her they become his world. She is such a soft gentle schnauzer her foster mum said with a very sweet personality. She loves to run & play with her foster siblings & must go to a home with another dog who will play with her. She loves a good outfit & will get ready for you to put one on her. Dog Name: Chelsey Age:  8 yearS old  Gender: Female  Weight: 6.7 kgs / 14.7 lbs Breed: Schnauzer mix Spayed/Neutered? Yes Vaccinated? Yes  Heartworm Negative? Yes Good with dogs? Yes Good with kids? Unknown Good with cats? Unknown  Has experience on a leash? Yes Potty trained? Yes, she is clean in his area at the foster facility and will adjust quickly to new house rules once he knows the expectations. Crate trained? No, but she is a quick learner and she can adapt Currently, Chelsey shares her space with other dogs at her foster home. Chelsey sleeps on a dog bed placed on the floor in a designated area. Chelsey – The Sweetest Soul, Waiting for Her Forever Chelsey is the kind of dog who doesn’t just enter your home… she quietly fills your heart. At 8 years old, this beautiful senior girl has so much love to give. She is incredibly affectionate, gentle, and happiest when she’s right by your side, simply enjoying your presence. Chelsey is the perfect mix—she still gets little bursts of joy with her adorable zoomies, loves her toys, and enjoys playing with other dogs, but what she treasures most is being close to her human. Chelsey has been through her share of challenges, including dental issues that required all her teeth to be removed. But today, she is completely pain-free, happy, and thriving—and she hasn’t let anything dim her spirit. She loves her meals (maybe a little too much!) and will even try to sneak a bite from her brother Brady when she gets the chance. Like many senior dogs, Chelsey has some mild age-related back problems, but they are very well managed with a simple daily joint supplement (Flexadin Advanced). It’s an easy routine that keeps her comfortable and enjoying life to the fullest. She loves car rides, walks beautifully on leash, and is wonderfully well behaved, making her an easy and loving companion to have by your side. Senior dogs like Chelsey have a special kind of magic—they are grateful, loyal, and love deeply. All she is looking for is a soft place to land, a family to call her own, and someone to share her quiet, loving presence with. If you open your heart to Chelsey, she will fill your life with a kind of love only a senior dog can give. Chelsey’s Ideal Home Chelsey would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can enjoy the simple things in life—being close to her person, going on gentle walks, and feeling safe and cherished every day. She would do beautifully with someone who is looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, whether that’s a single person, a couple, or a family with a relaxed lifestyle. Chelsey doesn’t need high activity—just quality time, love, and a cozy place to rest. Because she is social and gentle, she could happily live with other friendly dogs and would enjoy having a companion, but she would also be perfectly content soaking up all the attention as your one and only. Her ideal home is one that understands the beauty of a senior dog—offering patience, consistency, and a little extra care, like her daily supplement to keep her comfortable. In return, Chelsey will give back endless love, gratitude, and quiet companionship. All she truly wants is a home where she can stay close to her human… and finally be someone’s forever. Chelsey’s Rescue Story Chelsey and her lifelong companion, Brady, lost her home after her beloved owner passed away. Suddenly, her world changed completely. Her owner’s husband tried to care for her, but he was overwhelmed and unable to provide the level of care she needed. By the time he reached out for help, both senior dogs in his care were in very poor condition and in urgent need of medical attention and love.  Chelsey, in particular, was suffering from severe dental disease and painful gum infections. She needed immediate surgery, and the veterinary team had to remove all of her teeth due to the extent of the damage. But what happened next was incredible—almost instantly after her surgery, you could see the change in her face and spirit. The pain she had been living with was gone, and for the first time in a long time, Chelsey could finally feel relief. Since then, Chelsey has blossomed into the happy, loving, and affectionate girl she was always meant to be. Despite everything she went through, her sweet nature never faded. Today, the only care she needs is a simple daily joint supplement (Flexadin Advanced) to support normal age-related changes and keep her comfortable. Chelsey’s journey is one of quiet resilience, love, and second chances. Now, she’s ready to spend her golden years where she truly belongs—in a home filled with love, comfort, and kindness. Chelsey is waiting in Mexico until a family is committed to taking her on a 10-day trial. If you are interested, apply at www.northwestwagrescue.org her adoption fee is $600 ##2701728##

Story
We were saved from a rural shelter, and now we’re living our best lives! We’re a group of happy, playful boys who LOVE to wrestle with each other. Tackling, pouncing, rolling—you name it, we’re doing it! That’s how we got our names… after pro wrestlers! You might catch us leaping off the bed onto a brother while another one cheers us on from the sidelines—it’s all part of the fun! We keep the matches going with zoomies around the yard, practicing our best moves and showing off our goofy personalities. We also love toys—especially the crinkly ones… those don’t stand a chance once we pounce! We’re curious, adventurous, and always ready to explore something new, but we still love being close to our people. After all the action, we’re ready to wind down with snuggles, kisses, and cuddles. We’re the perfect mix of wild little wrestlers and sweet, loving boys just looking for our forever families. Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
