Tony is a Miniature Schnauzer/Poodle puppy and an all-around fun, affectionate little guy with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. He’s very people-focused and happiest when he’s close to his humans—whether that means sitting right beside you or being scooped up for snuggles. Tony is playful and social with other puppies and has formed sweet bonds during playtime, often seeking out his buddy so they can romp around together. He’s got a joyful, curious spirit and loves to stay involved in whatever’s happening around him. Tony is also a great eater and happily takes his medicine mixed into his kibble without fuss. He is food motivated, which will continue to help him as he learns and grows. He can be a little vocal at times, but it’s usually just his way of checking in—once he knows his people are nearby, he settles quickly. At night, Tony sleeps in a crate with a blanket over it alongside another puppy. He may whine or bark briefly when settling, but with gentle reassurance, he understands it’s bedtime and drifts off to sleep. He does occasionally wake during the night but is able to settle back down and hold his potty until morning. When he sees his people in the morning, he is very excited to start the day! During the day, Tony is flexible and comfortable resting on the couch near people or relaxing in a gated puppy area. He is starting to understand potty training and will try to use a pee pad when guided to it, though he’s still learning consistency and doesn’t yet signal when he needs to go out. With continued routine and structure, he will absolutely get the hang of it. Tony is friendly, a little cautious with new experiences, but always willing to take things in stride. He does wonderfully with other dogs, children, and is comfortable in the car. He’s smart, attentive, and already beginning to recognize his name, showing just how quickly he bonds with people. Overall, Tony is a sweet, loving, and adaptable puppy who is eager to connect and learn. He’s going to make an incredible companion for a lucky family ready to continue guiding him as he grows into the amazing dog he’s meant to be -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

Welcome Polly to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-pound Mini Schnauzer mixed with Chihuahua. She should be 15 pounds or less full grown. Her mom looks exactly like a high mixed schnauzer. Polly is very fluffy and while he likes being held. In fact, she is less active than her brother Teddy and cuddlier. She is crate trained, good with his sibling, good in a car and uses potty pads. She isn’t overly vocal and is the next most fluffy in the litter. She is not a shedder at all that we can see. Her coat is soft and if you groomed her in a schnauzer cut, would look like a mini black schnauzer. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older, due to his small size. Puppies are best with someone not working all day every day. She needs time with her human and time to finish up her puppy training. She is small enough and social, so he would be a good one to take places with you. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We have not had Basil with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. She was pulled out of a slaughterhouse with one of our other rescues Kimi while he was covered in blood & the butcher had already started chopping him up & they both were surrounded by a pile of deceased bloody dogs. Hi, I'm Baron! Before I came here, I lived in a place where there were too many of us… too many dogs, not enough care, not enough space. I had to survive among nearly 70 others. Every day felt like a competition—for food, for safety, for a place to exist. So I learned something early on… to protect myself first. That’s why, when you come close to me now, I might take a small step back. I might look unsure… like I’m deciding whether it’s safe. But if you wait—just a little—you’ll see something else. I come back. I walk around you, slowly, carefully… because even though I’m scared, a part of me still wants to trust. I’m not a dog who has closed his heart. I’m a dog who is trying to open it. Since being rescued, I’ve already started to change. At first, I couldn’t even move… I stayed curled up, frozen in fear. But now? When I see people, I bark to say “I’m here!” Sometimes… I even hope you’ll notice me. I think… I want love. I’m just still learning how. I’ll need time. More than some other dogs, maybe. Being alone might feel scary at first, because I’m so used to always having others around me. And there are many things I’ve never learned—like living in a home, or where I should go to the bathroom. But if you teach me gently, if you give me patience instead of pressure, I will keep coming closer. Step by step. On my own. I’m not looking for a perfect person. I’m looking for someone who can wait. Someone who won’t rush me, who will understand that love, for me, is something that grows slowly… but deeply. If you can do that—if you can walk this slow path with me—one day, I won’t step back anymore. I’ll come to you first. I’ll trust you completely. We were saved from a rural shelter, and now we’re living our best lives! We’re a group of happy, playful boys who LOVE to wrestle with each other. Tackling, pouncing, rolling—you name it, we’re doing it! That’s how we got our names… after pro wrestlers! You might catch us leaping off the bed onto a brother while another one cheers us on from the sidelines—it’s all part of the fun! We keep the matches going with zoomies around the yard, practicing our best moves and showing off our goofy personalities. We also love toys—especially the crinkly ones… those don’t stand a chance once we pounce! We’re curious, adventurous, and always ready to explore something new, but we still love being close to our people. After all the action, we’re ready to wind down with snuggles, kisses, and cuddles. We’re the perfect mix of wild little wrestlers and sweet, loving boys just looking for our forever families.
