Story
Welcome Polly to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 6-pound Mini Schnauzer mixed with Chihuahua. She should be 15 pounds or less full grown. Her mom looks exactly like a high mixed schnauzer. Polly is very fluffy and while he likes being held. In fact, she is less active than her brother Teddy and cuddlier. She is crate trained, good with his sibling, good in a car and uses potty pads. She isn’t overly vocal and is the next most fluffy in the litter. She is not a shedder at all that we can see. Her coat is soft and if you groomed her in a schnauzer cut, would look like a mini black schnauzer. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older, due to his small size. Puppies are best with someone not working all day every day. She needs time with her human and time to finish up her puppy training. She is small enough and social, so he would be a good one to take places with you. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 600 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See her cute video!! https://youtu.be/6tgYHIYEA4o

Story
Welcome Ruby to CCPAL foster program. Ruby is a 4-year old Schnauzer/Yorkie dog. She weighs about 15 pounds. She was found on the streets of Texas roaming with another dog. She wasn’t thin or stressed so she may have been found right after she was dumped by the original owners. Ruby is potty trained, good with other dogs and friendly to people, even strangers. She has a longer coat and is not a big shedder. She would look more like a Schnauzer with the Schnauzer cut. She is loving, smart, cuddly and ready for her new forever home. She is getting her vaccinations topped up and will be spayed before adoption. She is good in a car and decent on a leash. She would be fine in a home with a smaller condo sized yard. She would only need a moderately active person. A walk would be enough exercise. She is relaxed, calm and beautiful. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Basil has truly seen it all. It’s absolutely shocking & disturbing what these dogs endure but they fight for their lives. Soul destroying to think of what he has been through and yet he still loves human beings even after everything they have done to him. We cannot even begin to imagine what Basil witnessed and heard when he was at the slaughterhouse. How Basil ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption and yes you did read that correctly, we will never know? What we do know is, he was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Basil & many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting Basil out, his fate was a torturous death. We believe every sweet soul such as Basil & his friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Basil is looking for a special family to cherish him & be patient with him & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all his needs. Basil was rescued by our truly amazing Chinese rescue friends & just as always we are beyond grateful to the Chinese rescue who we are so extremely thankful for what they do day in & day out for these babies, we cannot thank them enough. Basil was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. This boy is the biggest sweetheart you will ever meet. He just wants you to love him & he will love you back. He adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in his life to show him such true love & affection. When he finds people who love him they become his world. He is a cheeky schnauzer his foster mum said with a huge personality & so joyous. He loves to run & play with his foster siblings & must go to a home with another dog in the home. He loves a good outfit & will get ready for you to put one on him. Basil eats a clean diet, meaning raw fruits, raw vegetables, 70 % raw proteins, grains, fats & supplements. He also enjoys collagen sticks & bully sticks. All of his treats are homemade Basil has been taught to walk on harness & leash & has been doing wonderful. He would need continued work walking on his harness & leash. Basil is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Basil adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, baths, the hairdryer he loves it all. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Basil & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. So far he has started showing interest in toys in his foster home. Basil has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. He is such an amazing, loving little lad. With Basil we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy. He will bark his head off if you leave him in a crate. We are also looking for a forever home for Basil where someone is home during the day or Basil can go with his people wherever possibly he can go with them. Basil is looking for a forever home who will cherish him & love him as he should be loved & be very patient with him & understanding. Basil has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & he is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company. He can be found at times snuggled up to his foster siblings. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Basil’s new forever home if it’s a free standing home. Basil is now roughly 14 lbs & is 2 years old & a miniture schnauzer & what he is mixed with we are not sure? He is microchipped, up to date on his shots including DHLPP, rabies & dewormed. Once these shots expire we will not redo them except rabies as we will not over vaccinate our beloved dogs. We have spent over $2000 on Basil with bringing him to the US with his travel airfare paying for his medical care, including, shots, neuter microchip etc, than his adoption fee comes close to covering. Basil has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Basil with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals. We were not there when Basil was conceived so we do not know who his parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think his breed is. As with all of our rescues & Basil’s friends he will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Basil potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond. We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Basil & going through our process and have read his listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Zoom followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Basil who understands his needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely sweet boy. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. Basil has an adoption fee of $950 & is ready for his truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what he has been through.

Anna has seen & witnessed evil in life. Please note that this dog is currently located in TX and will be transported once adopted. Our application can be found at haydudeequine.org. Oh, this is already hilarious. 😂 I’d lean even harder into the **tiny German supervisor** bit, while making Betty sound so lovable that people immediately want to meet her. Here’s a punchier version: **Guten Tag.** I am Betty Boop. Yes, like ze cartoon. No, I do not find zis ironic. I am a 4-year-old Miniature Schnauzer with excellent house manners, a magnificent beard, and a very important job: **keeping everyone else under control.** You see, someone has to maintain order around here. When other dogs begin wrestling, zooming, celebrating, or generally behaving like complete hooligans, I step in. Immediately. I do not yell. I do not make a scene. I simply arrive with my eyebrows, my beard, and ze unmistakable look of a tiny German supervisor who has seen enough. I may need a little time to decide if other dogs are acceptable. Once I have completed my investigation and determined they understand the rules, we can be friends. Probably. But if anyone gets too rowdy, I will issue a correction. **Ordnung muss sein.** There will be ORDER. Now, **humans?** Ahhh, humans are different. ❤️ I love EVERYBODY. Stranger? Come sit down, bitte. Have you met me? No? Doesn't matter. Are you holding a lap? Excellent. I will be occupying it immediately. I am affectionate, devoted, and very serious about my cuddle schedule. Petting is not merely encouraged. **It is mandatory.** I am also a professional shadow. Where you go, I go. Kitchen? I am there. Living room? Already there. Bedroom? Obviously. Bathroom? **Especially bathroom.** I don't know why Americans think they need privacy. This is very strange to me. If you are showering, I will supervise. If you are brushing your teeth, I will supervise. If you are doing absolutely nothing of importance, I will still supervise. I am looking for a home where my person is around a lot because I am not interested in being a part-time employee. I am seeking a **full-time human.** Preferably one with a lap. I may be a little bossy with my fellow dogs, but underneath all ze eyebrows and managerial responsibilities is a sweet, affectionate little girl who wants nothing more than to love her person, be by their side, and make sure everyone is following proper household procedures. I am dignified. I am loyal. I am fabulous. I am slightly judgmental. And frankly, my beard deserves its own zip code. So, if you are looking for a tiny German supervisor who will love you with her whole heart, follow you everywhere, inspect every suspicious activity, and occasionally remind the other dogs who is really in charge... **Congratulations. Your search is over.** Ich bin Betty. 🇩🇪❤️ **Now please sit down. I have an inspection to conduct.**

Story
Yeonew is currently being fostered in Fremont,CA! He flew from South Korea to the Bay Area in early 2023 for his forever home. Due to unexpected and significant personal changes in her current family, we fully support the decision to help her look for a new home. 🐕 Personality: 1. Yeonew will be best if he is the only dog in the house but he will be ok with dogs of his size (about 20 lbs) or smaller. I’ve noticed he is interested in meeting small dogs. He is scared and afraid of large dogs in general. There are exceptions, though. Our neighbor has 80 lb husky. In the beginning Yeonew was very scared of him but overtime he got used to him and they get along. If the large dogs is gentle and Yeonew had enough time to know that he is safe around the big dogs, then he will be fine. 2. He is 100% outdoor potty. In the morning, he goes out to backyard and pee for a long time. Then he pees and poos during the daily walk. If i can’t take him out for a walk, then he poos in the backyard. 3. Yeonew is a nice dog. He is very patient and understanding. He does not demand or destroy things. He loves, loves walking and running, especially loves a long walk. If park is empty, I let him run free. He runs 100miles per hour speed, gets super excited. When he does that, he comes home and falls asleep and snores. He loves getting brushed, massage, head and back scratched. He likes to play tug. There is one thing he hates which is nail trimming. It took me a very long time to touch his paws. Now he lets me touch them but still does not like it. 4. He is quite a picky eater. He likes - any kind of meat (beef, pork, chicken), fish, cheese, butter, egg yolk, lactose free milk, chicken jerky for dogs, dog chews He does not like - fruits, vegetables, egg white, most dog treats He is mostly quiet but he will bark if neighbor’s gardener creates loud noises with lawn mower or if he senses strangers walking outside of our house. 5. For Yeonew if I could imagine his perfect family, it would be a home with calm, mature adults or young adults who are gentle, loves to walk with him daily or twice a day, don’t mind Yeonew’s hair all over the house (especially shedding season), can make home made food for Yeonew, have time to play with Yeonew. He will be very happy. 6. Medication - he hates taking medications. I crush Simparica Trio to fine powder, mix it with water, put it in a syringe and slowly squirt it into his mouth (between his teeth)then give him a treat afterwards 7. About trip/car ride - he still trembles and shakes when we take him outside in our car (probably worried where we are taking him) but once we go to park, he is fine and happy. on the way back home, he is totally relaxed, no longer anxious or worried. He can do long distance trip in the car as well as long as he can get off the car periodically, walk, pee and drink water.
