Story

Meet Moonpie — Your Gentle, Copper-Eyed Best Friend Moonpie is the definition of a gentle soul. With his warm copper eyes, adorable white socks, and sweet pointy ears that dip softly when he greets you, he has a way of stealing hearts the moment you meet him. Calm, affectionate, and incredibly loving, Moonpie is happiest simply being close to his people. A few scratches behind his ears are enough to make him close his eyes in complete contentment. This handsome boy is kennel trained, potty trained, and already knows the "sit" command, along with "come," "no," and "get in your box." He's eager to please and enjoys learning, making continued training both easy and rewarding. Moonpie is dog selective, and while he has lived with other dogs in the past, we have learned that he will be happiest and most successful in a home where he can be the only pet. We are looking for a home without other dogs, cats, or other animals so Moonpie can relax, feel secure, and enjoy having his family all to himself. Moonpie enjoys car rides, comes when called, and has done wonderfully with tweens and teens. His gentle, affectionate personality makes him a wonderful companion for a family looking for a dog who truly enjoys being part of everyday life. He doesn't need another animal to keep him company—his people are what matter most to him. Whether he's joining you for a drive, relaxing at your feet, enjoying some outdoor time, or simply soaking up your attention, Moonpie is happiest when he's close to the people he loves. If you're looking for an affectionate, loyal companion with a calm personality, a playful spirit, and a heart full of love—and you have a pet-free home—Moonpie may be the perfect addition to your family. He's patiently waiting for the forever home where he can be someone's one and only. Moonpie is being fostered in Seguin, TX, but can be transported to the Northeast and Pacific Northwest after adoption. He is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and on preventatives. Spayed or Neutered,

Story

Cookie has a horrible story to tell. She has grown up outside. As she became older, she lived life chained to her dog house. She was bred by a stray male dog while she was on a chain and survived the January snow storm while on a chain. Rescue stepped in to get her spayed and fully vetted. She was boarded at the clinic to recover. During this time, everyone realized how absolutely sweet & smart she is! We would love to find her a forever home. Cookie is just over a year old and weighs 49 lbs. She is house and crate trained and uses a doggy door well. She is great with other dogs and kids. Cats unknown at this time. She was very curious about the clinic cats so may not have been around them before. She is ok on a leash but still learning about that. She is not a resource guarder but can be a counter surfer. She’s not big on toys just yet but loves chew bones! She is shy at first but is learning so many new things and is doing great! Please consider giving Cookie a happy ending to her story. She is so deserving of one. Complete an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FOFC/Dog

Story

Meet Popcorn, I really don’t care for all this picture stuff. Can we skip the posing and get to the fun part? I’d much rather be out running, playing, or walking right beside my human. I mean, have you seen my gorgeous markings? And my eyes…well, just look for yourself! 😍 I’ve already done the mom thing. I raised two beautiful pups, Pop Secret and Jiffy Pop, and watched them grow up and find families of their own. Now I think it’s my turn. I’m ready for a soft bed, lots of love, plenty of walks, and a human to call mine. Other dogs? As long as they’re friendly like me, we should do just fine. People are definitely my favorite—especially the ones who come prepared with treats. 😋 My babies got their happy endings. Now Mama is ready for hers. ❤️🐾 He/she is hw ( heartworm) negative, fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Please fill out an application at www.northboundrescue.com
