Story
Can you give this sweet girl the loving home she's dreaming of for so long? Meet Sophia, a sweet 1 year old spayed female cur/hound mix, currently weighing about 40 lbs. She has a beautiful brindle and white coat, with spots on her legs. Sophia and her brother, Boxy, were sadly abandoned in TN. Boxy was adopted several months ago, but Sophia has been patiently waiting for the right family to come along.  Sophia is good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. She is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. She is working on leash training. She can be shy at first but warms up! From Sophia's current foster:  “Sophia - low energy in the house but as soon as she goes out with other dogs, she’s a playful puppy. Loves being with other dogs, her whole demeanor changes! Sleeps like a rock at night - her favorite position for sleeping is on her back. If someone is looking for a companion for their dog, Sophia would be perfect - just enough play and energy for any dog.  When she first arrived, I had to carry her out of her transport and whenever she went outside. Doesn’t like to be rushed but always gets there with gentle prodding. Want a couch potato who will be a great companion for your younger or older dog? Sophia is the one for you. Her personality is typical hound, aloof and low key til it’s time to play. No problem with my cat - absolutely no interest.” Apply to meet Sophia today! You won't regret it! Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2055228##

Story
This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained so would need to relearn it. She does well in a car and is okay on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and probably not a fan of cats. She will need time to warm up to a person but is just a sweetheart when she knows you! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy. She is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Christie - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello, my name is Christie, and I am a baby girl of around 4 months who was found on the side of the road in a crate very emaciated, dehydrated and full of fleas. But with just a small amount of care and love, look at me now...happy and healthy!!! I am a sweet, adorable, and adventurous pup who loves to play! I love to run around and explore, but I'm also very affectionate and love to cuddle up with my favorite people. I am full of energy and very curious about the world around me, and I am just waiting to find a forever home where I can put my puppy adorableness to good use... wrapping you around my lil paw! I come in at about 11lbs and will be a pawsomely perfect mediumish size when I get myself all the way growed up. Perfect for sharing in ALL your adventures from the mundane daily to the weekend exciting!! I love to meet new people and do great with both the tall and small versions but remember I do have sharp lil teeth and nails. I do great with other pups too although I haven't had the pleasure of meeting any of those strange creatures y'all call a cat yet. At my tender age and introduced properly I should be fine with them also! If you are looking for a playful, sweet, and adventurous pup to join your family, look no further than me, Christie! I am sure to bring joy and love to your life. Here's to new beginnings and happy tails!" Lots of puppy antics and kisses, Christy ** Oh and BTW, my adoption application can be found at haydudeequine.org
