Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.No adoption fee!5 year old Lewis was adopted from us as a puppy and now finds himself needing a new home. Please share! *Don’t let the gray face fool you, this boy is only 5 1/2!  Lewis is a mixed breed (we don’t know what his mix is) and weighs about 40 pounds. He is a happy go lucky dude who is playful and energetic, but can also calm down quickly. Lewis’s favorite past times are lounging on the couch or in a dog bed with a fluffy blanket, chewing on a dog toy, and playing with his foster siblings (dogs). He is good with other dogs, cats and kids, crate and house trained, but needs a little leash training. If you’re looking for a lovable, happy, semi -playful pup who just wants to cuddle and play with toys, Lewis is your guy. Don’t miss out! Story
Sweet Shamrock is a cutie who has mastered the art of the puppy dog eyes. She is a 1-year-old mixed breed girl who weighs in at about 35 pounds, the perfect medium size for cuddles on the couch! While not much is known about her past, Shamrock was originally rescued in South Carolina but is ready to start over with a fresh life in the northeast. While her story is still being written, we do know that Shamrock gets along well with other dogs and kids, though her relationship with cats has yet to be tested. As a young pup, Shamrock is still working on all house, leash, and crate training. With a little patience, love, and consistency, she is sure to blossom into a wonderful family companion. Shamrock is looking for a family that is willing to invest in her future and give her the guidance she needs to grow. She is happy to return the favor with plenty of love and loyalty along the way. Shamrock is hoping her luck is about to change. Maybe the pot of gold at the end of her rainbow is a forever home with you!* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Shamrock is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.June 17, 2026, 7:44 am

Story
Lexi was adopted through a rescue from a high kill shelter in Tennessee as a young puppy. I was told she got along with cats by the rescue. She became very aggressive towards my cat ( also a rescue) and over time has become so focused on hunting him down that it has become unhealthy for both pets. She treats this as if there is a wild animal loose in the house , panting, pacing and anxious. Aside from this , Lexi is a healthy, active, playful 2 year old. She loves other dogs once she gets to know them. She sleeps well in her own bed, and is house broken, loves to be outside ,has lots of energy, loves car rides and is a very loyal companion. It takes her s little while to get used to strangers. She needs a loving home without small animals ( other than dogs )due to her high prey instinct which is due to her breed. . She’s fawn colored with white markings and weighs 33lbs. She’s fine around older kids( over10) and will be a great pet in a home without cats or other small animals.
