Story
A GENTLE SOUL WITH A HEART OF GOLD Meet the gorgeous Rocko, a 2 year old neutered male TN Treeing Brindle/cur weighing 60 lbs. His stunning coloring and captivating eyes will surely capture your heart!  Rocko is a gentle boy who thrives on attention and affection. He loves being by your side and enjoys the company of dogs, kids, and people (not cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats). His super chill personality makes him an ideal fit for a relaxed home.  This charming boy is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Rocko is sure to bring boundless love, joy, and loyalty to his new family. Could it be you?!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2337201##

Story
Daisy is an affectionate, cuddly three month old girl who loves everyone, plays well with other dogs, and enjoys her daily walks. She is being fostered with two of her siblings, other dogs of various ages and sizes, and cats. Daisy, her siblings, and her mom Ruby were surrendered by their owner who no longer wanted to care for them. After being a wonderful momma to her pups, Ruby has been adopted, and the pups are now thriving in loving foster homes. The puppies are crate trained and are already doing great with house-training. Daisy’s foster mom says “They are all very sweet and pretty calm for puppies. They love their playtime and walks, but they also love napping in my lap! Daisy is brave, curious and independent but comes when called and likes to stay by her people. Even though she is active, she calms right down and loves to cuddle up for naps. She is wonderful with other dogs and is curious about cats but doesn’t chase them. She rides very well in the car. She is an absolute joy to foster.” Daisy currently weighs 13 pounds. We think she will grow to be a medium size girl. She is up to date on vaccines and preventives and will be spayed and microchipped before going to her forever home. Daisy will be ready for adoption at the end of March. If you’d like to make this sweet girl a member of your family, please email bigyellowgoose018@gmail.com for an application.

Story
Please take the opportunity to meet this handsome, mountain cur mix, young adult pup. He is a fully grown dog weighing around 51 pounds. Because Larry is Initially shy when meeting new people, he has been overlooked by many potential adopters but is still seeking his forever family. Larry has much love to offer the family that is able to see past his shyness.Larry has been living happily in a foster home with other dogs and a loving family. that includes teens. Larry is an expert snuggler with his teenagers! He has some spunk with his medium/high energy and enjoys playtime with other dogs. Since coming into rescue, Larry has not had the opportunity to be introduced to cats. He will benefit from a family that will devote their time and energy to providing Larry with regular exercise, continued training and slow introductions in new situations. Larry is shy when meeting new people and will require the support and patience from his new family to help build his confidence. There are many great things ahead for Larry, and he is ready to meet a loving and devoted, forever family. He has mastered his crate, house and leash training. He is treat motivated so that will be a useful tool in assisting with positive reinforcement training. The adoption fee for Larry is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue, and transport fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To help speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.February 28, 2025, 5:37 am

Story
This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained so would need to relearn it. She does well in a car and is okay on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and probably not a fan of cats. She will need time to warm up to a person but is just a sweetheart when she knows you! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy. She is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Sheldon is a 1.5 year old and a Mountain Cur mix who weighs around 75 lbs. He has been in our care for almost a year now and still hasn’t found a home. Sheldon is still a very shy and anxious pup around new people (no aggression though!) but once he starts to trust and know you, he is super sweet. In his current foster home, Sheldon loves to sit and look out the windows watching the cars and people outside. He LOVES treats and knows some basic commands as well. While Sheldon does enjoy his playtime, he also equally enjoys downtime resting on the couch. He’s a gentle pup who just loves to be close to you and get all the love and affection he deserves. Sheldon would do best in a home with children over the age of 12 given his shy demeanor. Sheldon is neutered, fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped.
