Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   this is a courtesy post. Milo is not with DPR, but he is in urgent need of a new home!Milo is looking for his forever home! He is a fully trained 40 lb mixed breed brindle dog. He is trained through the Sit Means Sit program and is house broken. He has strengths with responding to commands, staying on his place board, coming instantly when his name is called, snuggling, and showing love. He wants to do well, meet your expectations, be with his favorite humans, and protect. Milo is extremely loyal. Milo needs an adult only family who will continue his training and that will provide a safe, structured, and calm environment for him. Infrequently, Milo can have reactive and impulsive actions. He barks at unfamiliar people arriving in the house, walking past the house, and animals in the yard. He can nip and/or show his teeth when he feels uncomfortable, or when he thinks he needs to protect. He will show that he feels remorse after one of these short moments. Sit Means Sit will provide at home training services, consultation services, and he can continue to attend group classes. Milo will travel to his new home with his crate, travel crate, leash, e-collar, place board, beds, and anything he else needs. Milo has the potential to be the world’s greatest dog with supports in place and the right environment for him.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 26, 2024, 6:15 pm

Story
This friend has just arrived to us on transport from a high-intake shelter partner! When our friends are new to us, we are often unsure of their full background. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and update their bio with more information as we learn. They are pending interactions with animals until they have been cleared by our vet. Please note that we often are unsure of house, crate, car, and leash training status upon arrival. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Xena, the 6-month-old purebred Mountain Cur, is a great choice for anyone searching for an intelligent and athletic furry friend. She enjoys playing and running around, and is gentle and affectionate towards other dogs. Although she may take some time to warm up to new people, once she does, you will receive an abundance of love and kisses. Xena had a bit of a rough start in life, as she was discovered alone under a building in SC when she was only 10 weeks old. However, she has made tremendous progress since then, and is now spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, housebroken, and heartworm negative. This furry beauty is currently on monthly preventative, ensuring her good health and happiness. If you are considering adopting Xena, it is strongly recommended that you have a fenced backyard, as she loves to run and play. Additionally, Xena would appreciate living with another dog, as she adores all of her foster siblings. Overall, Xena is an intelligent, athletic, and sweet pup that would be an excellent addition to any caring household. To find out more about this gorgeous pup and see if she is the right fit for you, get in touch with her foster family today.

Story
This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained so would need to relearn it. She does well in a car and is okay on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and probably not a fan of cats. She will need time to warm up to a person but is just a sweetheart when she knows you! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy. She is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.

Story
Frank is a super sweet boy who loves to snuggle and play.  It’s hard to imagine how close this boy was to being euthanized. Our rescue, along with others came together to each save one puppy of what originally was a litter of three, making sure each made it to safety. Frank settled in very quickly with his foster family that includes 2 older dogs who've taught him to live outside of the shelter. He loves chew toys and tennis balls, chasing his foster sister around the yard, and snuggling up after a long day of playing Frank tends to be be scared new people but appears be comforted from living with other dogs, so we believe he would do best in a home with an older confident dog to show him the ropes, and one who doesn't mind having his ear gnawed on by the puppy :) He will also need someone who will patiently work with him to gain confidence so that new situations aren't so fearful for him.  His foster family is working hard on that now with him.  When Frank finds the right furever family, he will show you loads of affection and provide lots of entertainment with his silly antics. Frank is being fostered in Collegeville (Montgomery County), Pennsylvania. www.mostlymuttz.org https://facebook.com/mostlymuttz #mostlymuttzrescue #mountaincurmix #perfectgentleman #adoptabledogs #adoptdontshop #adoptme #handsome Mostly Muttz PA Kennel #10782 ##2225929##
