Story
This friend has just arrived to us on transport from a high-intake shelter partner! When our friends are new to us, we are often unsure of their full background. Our staff will spend some time getting to know them and update their bio with more information as we learn. They are pending interactions with animals until they have been cleared by our vet. Please note that we often are unsure of house, crate, car, and leash training status upon arrival. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.

Story
Xena, the 6-month-old purebred Mountain Cur, is a great choice for anyone searching for an intelligent and athletic furry friend. She enjoys playing and running around, and is gentle and affectionate towards other dogs. Although she may take some time to warm up to new people, once she does, you will receive an abundance of love and kisses. Xena had a bit of a rough start in life, as she was discovered alone under a building in SC when she was only 10 weeks old. However, she has made tremendous progress since then, and is now spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, housebroken, and heartworm negative. This furry beauty is currently on monthly preventative, ensuring her good health and happiness. If you are considering adopting Xena, it is strongly recommended that you have a fenced backyard, as she loves to run and play. Additionally, Xena would appreciate living with another dog, as she adores all of her foster siblings. Overall, Xena is an intelligent, athletic, and sweet pup that would be an excellent addition to any caring household. To find out more about this gorgeous pup and see if she is the right fit for you, get in touch with her foster family today.

Story
Meet Loki! Loki was pulled as part of “Angel Retreat’s ACCT’s of love” program, due to being at risk of losing his life from Parvo virus. He was originally purchased from a breeder, but surrendered into the shelter system after contracting the deadly virus Loki received the new parvo monoclonal antibody injection as well as lots of love and supportive care and now has fully recovered and is ready for a home of his own! Loki is a 4 month old pit bull terrier mix who is dog friendly, kid friendly, and a very sweet boy! He is a young and happy puppy and will require a family up to the task of providing him the ample physical and mental exercise and training that all puppies require. If you are interested in being considered for them please apply on our website at www.angelsretreat.org 💕🐾 If you are interested in learning more or contributing about our “ACCTs Of Love” program please go to the following link (or find all our links and ways to donate in our bio): https://www.angelsretreat.org/accts-of-love/

Story
This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained so would need to relearn it. She does well in a car and is okay on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and probably not a fan of cats. She will need time to warm up to a person but is just a sweetheart when she knows you! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy. She is in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders.
