Story
Rafi is ready to find her forever home! She's a very high energy puppy who would do best with an active adopter.    What Rafi has is a huge personality! She LOVES to play fetch, is curious about everything, and loves water. You will not find a funnier dog!   Whether she's dive bombing you with her toy to demand some fetch time, throwing her metal bowl in the air while you're trying to watch a movie, chasing her tail, or doing somersaults, she will keep you laughing!   Rafi needs an adopter commited to professional training. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body but she ignores the word "no" and does not respect when other dogs tell her they've had enough. This girl likely missed out on crucial playtime with her mom and siblings as a baby so she just doesn't understand when she nips too hard or when other dogs are done playing. We have learned when she starts getting too mouthy and wound up, a brief time out for a nap helps her be her best self. She reminds me of a toddler that starts acting out when they get overly tired.   While she would not intentionally hurt a child, she would absolutely steal food and toys from them so at least 10+ years would be best for her so they can stick up for themselves when she gets too wound up or tries to steal food. My 12 year old sons have learned to keep a spray bottle nearby when sitting down to eat.   Rafi also has some swelling in her legs that we couldn't find a cause for but all of her bloodwork has come back normal. It has improved and hopefully will continue to decrease over time.    Rafi is definitely a lot of puppy but she is still young and has the potential to be an amazing dog with the right training and patience. Also, did I mention how funny she is?!?December 2, 2023, 2:29 pm

Story
Izzy is a young, playful dog who loves everyone she meets, both furry and human alike. She does extremely well with other dogs, cats, and kids and she doesn’t know a stranger. She is fully crate trained and is accustomed to staying quietly in her crate when her pet parents are away from home and at nighttime. She is very affectionate with her people, always content to snuggle up on the couch. Her young energy is a bit too much for the senior dog in her home which is the sole reason for rehoming.

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org George - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Those named George are known to be solid, strong, loyal and saintly, yet friendly and unpretentious. This name sums me up rather perfectly. I'm all that and a big bag of chips or should we say milkbones?!! I am about 10 months old and am very active and will need lots of exercise and playtime. I would be a great candidate for some basic training or maybe even some agility classes. I would also make a hiking/camping pawtner. I do well with people and the other foster pups here making me a pawsome family addition for any and all of those adventures we might want to go on!! At about 42lbs I should be around my adult weight and what a great size I am. Big enough for all those said adventures but small enough not to hog the whole couch. I will try to always leave enough room for you, I don't want to miss out on ANY of my cuddle time! Nope nope can't be having any of that! Oh and I almost forgot to mention, I am house and pen trained. I don't much care for the pen but I tolerate it pretty well. After a minute or so I settle in and just wait for you to come back. I'd just much rather come along with you!! I am great with all people tall or small, especially if they're gonna give me some belly rubs or ear and chin scratches! I am such a happy boy, sweet and mellow and very submissive. I just want my cuddle time!! I do great with all the other foster pups and would love a playful sibling to chase around the yard stealing, err...did I say that out loud? I really meant to say sharing toys, I really did!! My short sleek beautiful coat is low maintenance in the grooming department which makes me more of a wash-n-to type of fella. Oh boy, you DO know what that means don't you?!! Yep yep, more time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. That would have to be my favoritest time, you and me together time!! Are you in need of a special friend that will always be there, always have your back, will be happy going on adventures or just being there in your doing everyday life things? Yep, yep I would just love to be your boy!!

Story
Meet Cherry 🍒 2 year old, Mixed breed, 30lbs, female Cherry came to us a few months ago after she was abandoned in a parking lot with cardboard box full of newborn pups. Luckily a Good Samaritan picked her up and got her to safety. She had 8 beautiful pups and she was such a good mommy. Now it’s her turn to find a forever home! She is on the submissive side and good with other dogs. She is house trained, although we do think she has never lived indoors with a family. We are working on her confidence and she will need a patient home. Cherry is very sweet and loves her belly rubbed. We believe she may be a Mountain Cur mix. Cherry is now current on vaccines, heart worm tested negative, spay, and microchipped. We are accepting applications at https://form.jotform.com/secondhandpaws/app

Story
Hi I'm Marzen!  I'm 14 weeks old, 18lbs, and possibly a mountain cur mix! My foster family says I’m such a sweet girl. I don't know which is better; playing, eating or sleeping! I am great at all three. I'm food motivated and love to please, so I learn quickly! I absolutely adore other dogs and am even good with cats! I'm good with kids too! Will you add me to your family so I can continue being the best snuggler! adoption fee is $250. She is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   December 1, 2023, 11:58 pm
