Meet Cherry 🍒 2 year old, Mixed breed, 30lbs, female Cherry came to us a few months ago after she was abandoned in a parking lot with cardboard box full of newborn pups. Luckily a Good Samaritan picked her up and got her to safety. She had 8 beautiful pups and she was such a good mommy. Now it’s her turn to find a forever home! She is on the submissive side and good with other dogs. She is house trained, although we do think she has never lived indoors with a family. We are working on her confidence and she will need a patient home. Cherry is very sweet and loves her belly rubbed. We believe she may be a Mountain Cur mix. Cherry is now current on vaccines, heart worm tested negative, spay, and microchipped. We are accepting applications at https://form.jotform.com/secondhandpaws/app

Pumba is 6-7 year old male Mountain cur or Feist mix. He is super friendly, playful, and affectionate to everyone. He gets along fine with other gentle dogs and likes kids. Unknown with cats. He keeps a clean kennel and is probably housetrained. Pumba is 54 lbs and could lose a few pounds. He likes car rides and being close to people. He has a lovely outgoing personality and will be a fantastic family pet and companion. Pumba has a lot of energy for his age and can keep up with fun loving kids. His brother Timon is at shelter too and they can be adopted together or separately. They get along well together. He is neutered, vaccinated, heartworm negative and is on nexgard plus. Adopt fee $50. A bustling city shelter was never the right fit for a country boy like Sam, but now he is thriving under the care of HALO and is ready to find the loving home he truly deserves. Sam is a handsome and lovable 3-year-old mixed breed who brings a little bit of 17 breeds into one amazing package! While his DNA may be diverse, one thing is crystal clear: Sam is 100% good dog!  He is Athletic, Smart and Affectionate. This adventurous boy is an outdoor enthusiast through and through. Whether it’s hiking trails, swimming in the lake, or exploring wide-open spaces, Sam is happiest when he has a “job”.  He can be found with his nose to the ground, chasing squirrels and sniffing all that nature has to offer. His boundless curiosity and energy make him the perfect companion for an active household that loves the great outdoors.   Sam is a rising star in scent training and is currently working toward his higher-level scent certification at Clermont County Dog Training Club.   When the adventures are done, Sam shows his softer side. Meet Trenton! This good boy is the whole package! He is a mixed breed, best guess English pointer/boxer mix, and no one breed is evident. He is 2-year-old medium sized (55 pound) love bug who is gentle and adores kids. He is house trained. It does not appear he has been taught basic commands, but he should be a quick learner as he learned the doggy door ropes in a single day. The crate is not his favorite. He will go in when bribed with delicious treats and sleep quietly through the night. He mimics the vibe of the house by playing when we are active and snuggling on couch when we are quiet. He also gets along with other dogs, playing or backing off at the appropriate times. As he has settled into his foster home, he has started wrestling with the alpha dog of the house. Trenton deserves someone who will shower him with attention, car rides and rounds of fetch. He is everyone’s best friend, can he be yours? Trenton is neutered and up to date on all vaccines, flea and heartworm medication.
