Story
I have 9 beautiful puppies that will be 10 weeks old on 1/15/24. Mama is Mountain Cur [squirrel dog] Daddy is a Jack Russell Terrier. A mix of male and female babies. Very loving and sweet dogs. I wish I could afford to keep them all, but I cannot afford to keep them. I lost my job several months ago, in addition, I have 5 grown dogs as well. They are all such sweet babies. I suspect because of the size of Mama and Daddy, they will be small to medium-sized dogs when grown. I am in Northern Kentucky. They need a loving home ASAP!! Please help! Thank you

Story
Introducing Lani. Her name is derived from the Hawaiian word for sky, so for today's photos we got to dip our feet in the sand and for that I was grateful. The sky is the limit for this sweet 7 month old girl who has recovered nicely from her bilateral cherry eye surgery and is now searching for her forever family.   She is listed as a mountain cur mix, but appears to have some low rider in her..and a bit of a pug snout!?  So is she a Mountain Cur Pug Corgi? We really DON'T know.  What we DO know is that she has the softest brindle fur and the sweetest eyes!!  She loves all people big and small, but may be a little too much for young kids as Lani is still learning the rules about living inside.  She is doing well with potty training on a schedule and will need consistency and training to be her best self.   She has done well with all of the human, dogs and cats in her foster family and is opening up more every day.  She is currently about 30 pounds, and I would suspect max weight will be in the 40-45 pound range. This little girl is a complete love!!  #lanislovinglife  Lani loved her BarkBox  starfish and pelican while she was at the beach!  BarkGood      February 21, 2024, 8:15 pm

Story
Looking for a very special adopter! Rafi almost became a foster fail...her foster family loves her sooooooo much! But I know there is a family out there better suited for her. Rafi is the smartest pup around! I think she would be amazing at agility sports, dock jumping, frisbee, etc. I have no doubt she would learn and excel at anything she tries! She is so smart, foster mom had to bring in the experts at Say It Once dog training (thank you, Zane!) to teach me her language.   Rafi has so much personality, I could go on forever about her...she LOVES attention, fetch, loud toys, ice cubes, balls, bones, and most of all FOOD!   She is also strong-willed, demanding, and again, super smart! Luckily, her adopter will receive a free lesson from Say It Once, to help her settle in and show you how to communicate rules and boundaries.   Now the hard part...Rafi has a condition called congenital lymphedema. Her lymphatic system doesn't work properly. She has chronic swelling in her legs and on a bad day, will have pain that keeps her in bed. Right now, her bad days are few and far between but little is known about the cause and there is no definitive treatment. Most of the time, she is just a high-energy, happy pup who wants all your attention!   Her adopter should be prepared to try non-traditional treatment like acupuncture and lymphatic drainage massage therapy. She recently started an herbal supplement that appears to be helping but it's too soon to tell.   Rafi loves other dogs and is fantastic with them. She barks at cats but will run away if they swat at her. She has never met a stranger so everyone is her best friend. She loves kids but due to her strong-willed nature, will need kids old enough to defend their food and toys from her persistence. She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body but she does think "no" is a suggestion and will test the limits.   If you are prepared to give Rafi the long healthy life that she deserves, but understand with so much unknown about her condition there is no guarantee she'll get that, fill out a no-obligation application to meet this amazing girl! February 21, 2024, 8:15 pm

WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Cameo - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Cameo, a beautiful name for a beautiful gal like me. I have the sweet natured attitude that will make me a great family addition. At 2 years old, I'm also at a great age where as I'm still playful but way past that destructive puppy stage. That sure makes for a nice combo for my new family. Oh and another nice thing...I'm already house trained too!! I have an amazing tiger striped pattern in my coat and show stopping amber colored eyes which make for a stunning combo!! My hairytage of the Mountain Cur and the Plott hound makes for the beautiful swirling stripe pattern of my coat, a genetic characteristic. My personality is sweet, sweet, sweet and I am very human oriented. I love giving and getting kisses and spending time with my people. Also, for a medium sized dog of 55ish lbs, I am a great snuggler!! I will wrap myself around my Foster Mum and delight in the attention!! I will stay there snuggling for as long as she has time! I walk well on leash and know how to sit and stay. I have great focus and pay attention really well. I am a people pleaser and will try to do whatever it takes to make you happy!! I get on well with most all other doggies and enjoy romping in the yard getting a good game of keep away or tag you're it going but I LOVE hoomans and haven't met a stranger yet, I'm pretty sure everyone is here just to give me lots of lovins!! :) I'm a great size to make you a pawsome action adventure type companion, whether it's going for neighborhood strolls, camping trips or hikes in the wilderness, I'm willing and ready! And then after our fun, I love my beloved snuggles by the fireplace (on the couch is fine too). I'm up for trying it all with...YOU!! If you are looking for a "dog of a different color", then look no further!! I for sure want to be your gal!!
