To learn more about Tyson, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org This young Mountain Cur mix is as stunning as they come, with a gorgeous brindle coat and a fun-loving personality to match! Tyson is a total playgroup rockstar—he plays beautifully with both males and females, adjusts his style to match his friends, and communicates like a pro. Whether it’s rough-and-rowdy wrestling or gentler play, Tyson just gets it. He LOVES other dogs and would thrive with a confident, playful canine companion—he’s been known to make instant best friends and play for hours on end! In the home, Tyson is the perfect mix of affectionate and enjoys being near his people. He is happy to entertain himself with a chew toy, bone, or by proudly emptying out the toy bin for a solo play session. He’s smart, curious, and a quick learner who loves to explore. He’s also house-trained and does great with a routine, but could use some support and guidance as he navigates alone time when his people leave the home. Tyson has an energetic, playful side and loves to run, chase, and get his zoomies out—so plenty of exercise and enrichment will make him one happy pup. He’s also great in the car and easy to walk, making him a fun companion for outings. He may be a little shy at first in new situations, but Tyson warms up quickly and has done well meeting new people with a thoughtful introduction. Tyson is a playful, loving, and wiggly boy who’s more than ready to find his perfect match—could it be you? 🐾

To learn more about Jojo, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org. Jojo will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Hi, I’m Jojo—but around here I’m affectionately known as the “Potato.” Between my love of lounging, warm tan coloring, and slightly chonky build, the nickname just fits. Most days, you’ll find me rotating between couch potato and baked potato mode—curled up in a cozy spot indoors or soaking up sunbeams in the yard. I’m a relaxed girl who appreciates the simple things: good naps, warm rays, window patrol duty, and peaceful downtime. But don’t be fooled—I LOVE my walks. Long, sniff-filled strolls are a highlight of my day, and I get adorably excited when it’s time to head out or when food is on the way (my little nub tail has its own celebration routine). Backyard time is just as exciting, especially if there are squirrels or cats to monitor. I take my critter patrol responsibilities seriously, so I’ll need a secure yard with a tall fence for my supervision duties. Inside, I’m an easy, well-mannered housemate. I’m house-trained and crate-trained, though I don’t use a crate in my foster home because I do perfectly fine without one. Plush toys are a favorite, especially the ones that can be enthusiastically de-stuffed. I also enjoy other dogs who can match my goofy, rough-and-rowdy play style. When you’re out, I’m usually napping, window-watching, or thinking about snacks. I’ve got a nicely independent streak—I’m not a constant shadow—but I always make time for affection, belly rubs, and hanging out nearby. Think of me as your low-key companion with occasional bursts of happy enthusiasm. Everyone who knows me says I thrive in a home that appreciates my mix of affection, independence, and easy-going charm. In return, I bring loyalty, love, and championship-level couch companion energy. My forever family is out there somewhere—and I can’t wait for them to find their perfect little Potato.

To learn more about Rogue, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Thinking of adding a beautiful brindle friend to your home? It’s time to go Rogue! Rogue is a lovely, sweet dog looking for a home where she can relax and be herself. When she gets excited she just doesn't wag her tail, she does a fully body wiggle. She is both people and dog friendly. She loves to play with her foster dog sibling and they can be found romping in the back yard or napping together around the house. She's good at doing her business outside and knows the queue 'potty'. Rouge has loads of potential as a great companion!

Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Blackjack is a handsome Mountain Cur mix with a soft, gentle spirit. He can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but he clearly wants to make friends—approaching slowly, sniffing hello, and wagging his cute little nub tail as he builds confidence. He loves to explore on walks (especially with plenty of sniffing breaks!) and has shown friendly interest in other dogs in the home and kennel settings. Blackjack may start off a little unsure, but with patience and kindness, he’s already beginning to come out of his shell! This sweet boy is just looking for someone to help him feel safe and loved. Could you be the one to finally make that happen for Blackjack?

Story
Oakley, affectionately known as 'Dottie girl ' by her foster family, has such a sweet, lovable, big personality and is very eager to please!  This Pit/Mountain Curr mix is a total Phoenix that has risen from the fires of neglect, abandonment and even successfully raised her litter of puppies in the woods for the first 10 weeks of life. They were all successfully adopted in the Fall and living wonderful lives of love and commitment from their families.  Oakley is the perfect girl that lives with anyone and everyone that comes her way.  She embraces all people and dogs and she just lives her life with resilience and tolerance.  This girl might not be a Golden Retriever in looks but she surpasses any of the commonly accepted breeds that everyone gravitates to and wants to adopt.  Take her Pit mix package look away and please consider only her SOUL?  Trust us, you will not want to look elsewhere for the most perfect and beautiful temperamented dog.  Oakley sits on command and walks nicely on a leash.  When she meets new people, she is so very social and she embraces all other dogs, adults and children alike.  This girl loves to play dress up in cozy sweaters and loves a good chew toy. HOW FUN!???? RIGHT?  If you have children she is right there to engage and play with them and their fantasies.  This Momma dog is just a young 2yr old, 40lb sweetheart who longs to be an inside dog that can cuddle up next to you on the couch and help you melt the life challenges away.   Oakley had outsmarted many rescuers for months running around the county with her litter of puppies being. When she gave in we realized what a remarkable Mom she was and the beauty of her puppies.  All of her puppies have been adopted, but now Oakley is raising her heart and hand to say…. Pick Me Too!  She deserves a remarkable future and life because she will provide the amazing dog companion to someone that can ever be imagined.  Forget the wrapper on the package and consider the heart please…You won’t regret living a life with Oakley. Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Please mention where you life when you ask for an application:  City and state.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm
