Meet Sugarplum- a young Mountain Cur mix with a heart as soft and sweet as her name. She came to the shelter after being surrendered by her previous owner, along with her tiny 3-month-old puppy. Despite this big change in her life, Sugarplum has remained incredibly loving, gentle, and trusting. Sugarplum adores meeting new people and will happily roll over to ask for belly rubs within moments of saying hello. She’s wonderful on walks, easy to handle, and has a calm, cooperative nature that makes spending time with her an absolute pleasure. She takes treats gently, enjoys playing with toys, and loves running around the playroom with a happy, carefree spirit. They were all successfully adopted in the Fall and living wonderful lives of love and commitment from their families. Oakley is the perfect girl that lives with anyone and everyone that comes her way. She embraces all people and dogs and she just lives her life with resilience and tolerance. This girl might not be a Golden Retriever in looks but she surpasses any of the commonly accepted breeds that everyone gravitates to and wants to adopt. Oakley sits on command and walks nicely on a leash. When she meets new people, she is so very social and she embraces all other dogs, adults and children alike.
