Hi, I'm Skye!!
I get my name from my beautiful blue eyes, but I promise there's more to me than a pretty face!
My foster family loves to gush about how excellent I am, and honestly I deserve every compliment! I'm a super sweet, well-behaved, happy, affectionate pup who has never met a stranger! My tail is pretty much wagging 24/7 (yes, even when I sleep), and I love to greet absolutely everyone I come across.
Going new places and meeting new friends is one of my favorite activities! I also love being outside in general, and getting all the walks, hikes, runs, and sniffs in! I'd love to join a family who will take me with them on all their outdoor adventures!
In addition to my athletic prowess, I also excel in the art of relaxation. I try to commit a decent amount of time everyday to sunbathing, as I'm very devoted to soaking up the rays and working on my golden glow! Indoors, I like to spend time snoozing in my crate, or curled up on a cozy dog bed. I'm the most dignified little lady you'll ever meet, and I only hop onto the couch when I'm invited. I promise you'll want to invite me lots though, because once I'm up there, I'm a champion cuddler. I like to curl up right next to my humans and share all my sleepy loves. Snuggling is, after all, another one of my many fine skills!
You're probably getting this impression already, but I am in fact, I'm quite the accomplished girl. I'm very well-behaved and happy in my crate, and snooze quietly in there during the day while my foster family is at the office. I'm also totally potty trained, and good on leash. I already know a bunch of tricks too! "Sit", "down", "paw", and "come" are all in my repertoire, and I've nearly got 'heel' down as well. I'm a total smarty pants, and I love learning new things!
I'm a pretty flexible girl and would do well in most home settings, including with a first-time dog owner. A yard would be wonderful, but I could also happily live in an apartment. I hardly ever bark, which is a terrific bonus when sharing walls with neighbors! I'd be happy joining a family with kids, other dogs, anbody who I can give love to, and get attention from! I do have a pretty high prey drive (I am a lover of observing birds and squirrels. Just observing, I swear! And maybe the occasional bit of chasing), so living with cats would probably require me meeting them first to make sure it was a good fit.
