Story
She is located in Tennessee but can be transported to you through Rescue Riders. This girl was found as a stray and her owners refused to come pick her up so she is in search of another home. She is a sweet lady, a bit shy, but friendly. She is out of any puppy energy phase but does still like to play and she does get the zoomies. She was house-trained, does well in a car and does awesome on a leash. She does not get along with smaller dogs and is probably not a fan of cats. She is a sweetheart with people and is ready to go! She would be wonderful as a walking companion and lounge buddy.

Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Introducing Tyson, the regal pooch awaiting his forever family! Tyson is an absolutely stunning Mountain Cur with coat and eyes to match! His beautiful coloring is truly spectacular, and his eyes are as expressive as they are deep. Tyson has braved the world to find his way here to Northern Virginia and is still getting used to everything. He prefers to take things slow, especially when meeting new people. With some time and love, Tyson warms up and becomes a total lovebug. Tyson enjoys affection and would love nothing more than to cuddle up! A home that is quieter and is prepared to take things at his speed would suit Tyson best. If that aligns with your home, don’t hesitate and reach out about Tyson today!

These pups are in Fairfax, Virginia too!

Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Some dogs come to us with very special needs and BamBam is one of those dogs.  While he is a playful pup full of energy and affection, he is also extremely fearful of the world.  This fear can manifest into making him protective and reactive.  As his anxiety traits present a challenge, a quiet, experienced and patient home is required to address his needs.  He should also be in a home without children or other pets.  Among his many positive qualities, he is quiet, house trained, crate trained, and he will sit nicely and lift his paw for a treat.  He is extremely shy when meeting new people but once BamBam feels comfortable, he will be your loyal companion forever!    **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org. Story
Introducing, Missy! Missy is 8 years old and 65 lbs. This sweet girl was surrendered to a rural animal shelter because her owners had too many dogs. We don't know what Missy's life was like before, but she definitely had many litters of puppies. Missy is currently living her best life in a wonderful foster home. She can be shy at first, but given a few days, her lovely personality will start to show. She has done well with other dogs (slow introductions are always suggested) and loves to run and play. Missy is housebroken, trustworthy when left home alone and great in the car. Interested in learning more about Missy? Apply at www.novapetsalive.org/adopt *Missy spayed, up to date on vaccines, was given monthly preventatives, and is microchipped.

Story
Meet Waylon! 🐾❤️ Waylon is an absolutely adorable 2-year-old Pointer/Hound mix with the softest, most soulful eyes and a sweet, earnest expression that melts you the moment he looks your way. He has this gentle little head tilt that makes him look like he’s truly listening to every word you say — it’s impossible not to fall for him. Waylon is a tender, humble boy who just wants to be close to his people. He’ll quietly follow you around, happy to be near you and share in whatever you’re doing. He starts off a bit shy, but once he trusts you, he opens up into the most loving, loyal little shadow. Waylon does wonderfully with kids, loves other dogs, and even does well with cats, making him an easy fit into a wide variety of homes. He’s already crate trained and picking up on new routines and commands fast — he truly wants to please. He’s neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to find a family who will cherish his gentle heart and lovable personality. If you’re looking for a dog who radiates sweetness and has the cutest face you’ll ever meet, Waylon is your boy. 🏡❤️ RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such.
