Story
This is Maddie. She is a smart, sweet girl who loves to cuddle and is eager to please. She was originally a rescue that was with a husband/wife couple for three years before we got her. When we got her, the owners thought she was a lab/whippet mix but we recently got her DNA results back and she is 46% Mountain Cur (a hunting dog), then some Pitty, Staffy and Cattle Dog. Her ideal home situation would be a loving, active family with older kids OR no kids. She is anxious around younger, unpredictable/energetic kids and has given warning nips to our five-year-old and got her face once while doing this. She is mostly OK with our other dog but has recently started resource guarding her around toys or me. She is a very loving dog but we do not feel we can do what it takes to manage the safety of our daughter. A calmer environment would serve her well as she is constantly managing the kids and anxiously moving about the house. She loves fetch, scent work and learning new tricks!

Story
Molly is a mixed breed, possibly with Mountain Cur/Bull Terrier; we have ordered a DNA test and are waiting on results. -Around 3 years old -She was surrendered to a vet to be euthanized because she pottied on the floor. -High energy -Likes to go and check in on the smaller dogs; she is like the momma of all of the dogs. -Leash trained -Does well in her crate at night, doesn't make messes and goes right in -Good with other dogs, cats, and children -Well mannered, happy dog. Happy to be here! -Very friendly and outgoing -Takes her medication easily -She likes to "talk" -Was heartworm positive when we took her into rescue in November 2024. She has gone through treatment and is now negative! Story
This sweet young English Pointer mix (and yes, her name is Birdie for a reason!) is as lovable as she is playful. Weighing in at 38 pounds, Birdie is already potty trained, crate trained, active and healthy. She’s a fetch enthusiast and will happily chase after anything you throw—though she’s still working on bringing it back every time! She's great on a leash and can entertain herself for hours in a fenced yard. Birdie is a social butterfly who gets along great with other dogs, whether big or small. She warms up to everyone very quickly, especially when she realizes you're her new best friend. She would also be great with older kids. Birdie is smart, affectionate, and sweet. She’s got a laid-back side too — if you let her, she’d happily curl up next to you for hours. This brave little pup was found on Christmas Eve on a cold and rainy night in Texas. She was found abandoned by a boat with fireworks going off nearby. She was so scared that she jumped right into her foster’s EV, ready to find safety and love! Since then, she’s blossomed into a happy, affectionate companion who can’t wait to find her forever family. If you're looking for a smart, loving, and playful pup to bring joy to your home, Birdie Bean just might be the one for you! We can drive this pup to your area! If you like this cutie and please send us an inquiry here and we'll give you a call and video chat with the pup! Here's the link: www.friendsfurliferescue.org/adoption-application Please copy/paste the above link into your browser ^ Our transport can take this pup to any of the above locations. (YES we also adopt to Canada! Please note: adoption fee is in US dollars.) There is NO transport fee, or any extra fees. All is included in the adoption fee. Thank you! We're looking forward to your inquiry!

Story
WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾 Meet Mr. Miyagi – Master of Fetch & Zen Snuggles 🐾 Looking for a four-legged sensei to teach you the art of unconditional love? Mr. Miyagi, a wise-yet-goofy 6-year-old, 50-lb pup, is ready to wax on, wax off… and maybe fetch that tennis ball about a thousand times. Like his legendary namesake, this Miyagi believes in balance—half couch-potato philosopher, half playful martial arts prodigy. Morning snuggles are his meditation, and when it’s time for action, he’s all about fetch kata (complete with perfect “drop the ball” technique). He’s a quick study, already fluent in “sit” and “stay,” and seems to understand more human words than he lets on. Loud noises and sudden changes can throw off his inner chi, so he’s searching for a calm, toddler-free (or older-kid only) dojo where he can truly master the good life. ✨ Mr. Miyagi’s Training Highlights: • 6 years old, perfectly balanced at 50 lbs • Morning snuggle black belt 🥋 • Fetch master—ball retrieval at tournament level • Leash-walking pro, park-day enthusiast • Wise soul with a delightfully wonky tail that wags like a victory crane kick From rope-toy sparring to backyard meditations, Mr. Miyagi is ready to teach his forever family the greatest lesson of all: love is the ultimate tournament win. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Mr. Miyagi show you the way of the paw.
