Story
Remi is a male 3year old large dog. He was found on the side of the road at a rest stop malnourished with mange about 6 months old. He has been with our family for about two years. We have children and another dog. You can tell he had an abusive troubled start to life, but he's come a long way. However I want him to have the very best life and I think he'd be better suited in a quite home. Our home is busy and loud so he constantly in a heighten state. I'd love for him to find a state of calm. He has a fear of men at least men with dark eyes and would benefit from being a solo dog. He's good on walks but rather sleep all day and cuddle.

Story
Lyanna loves to run, chase a ball, hike, and nap on the couch. She is very affectionate and sweet to her people. We love her very much and are excited for her to have a new home where she will be free again to enjoy life! We rescued her in 2016 in Seattle when she was 1. She has been a joy in our life; we have had so much fun together. She does however have one behavioral issue that we have tried and failed to correct. She is protective of us, her parents. When guest come over, she needs to be put in her own space or she will try to herd people by nipping at their feet when they walk. We dealt with this and it is/was manageable without issue. However when we had our first boy it became more of a constant issue. With our second now here, Lyanna spends her waking hours inside her fenced-off area in the living room. So we want to find her a home with no kids and no other pets where she can be free and happy again! She has never shown this herding behavior when we aren’t present

Story
May is a sweet, loving boy with boundless energy. He’s independent and knows exactly what he wants, when he wants it. His favorite activities include chewing on toys and running laps around the house. He also enjoys snacks between meals and long walks outside. If you’re an active person looking for a dog ready to play, May is the ONE! He sleeps through the night, usually rising early and staying up late. After a couple of weeks, he’ll easily adapt to your schedule. This smart boy is a quick learner he already knows how to high-five, sit, lay down, and hopefully soon “roll- over”! With May around, there’s never a dull moment, and he’ll definitely make you excited to come home every day.

Story
Re and Ra are siblings. I got them at 4 weeks old when their mom stopped nursing them. They were bottle fed for a few weeks. They are super affectionate and love to cuddle. They like to sleep under blankets. I have kids and 2 cats and they do well with both kids and cats. I did get them a week before Covid hit so they did not have a chance to socialize like they needed so they need a little extra time to get them to be social. They are house trained and kennel trained. They do not have to be adopted together.

Story
Hi my name is River. I am an amazing 2 year old pup! Unfortunately I want a doggie divorce from another dog in my home. After meeting with 2 trainers/behavior specialists it has been recommended that I go to a new home in order to be happy. I would like a home that is more calm so to be the only dog or with a calm female would be great and no kids would help so that I am not anxious by new people or lots of coming and goings. I do warm up to new people in about 10 minutes but kids may not understand that I just would rather be left alone while I sniff out the situation. Probably no cats. I have seen a doggie psychiatrist and am on anti-anxiety meds to help me with the transition to a new home and these meds might help me long term. I am great on walks, love to play fetch, and am very calm - liking to just chill with a bone or toy. My family is sad this is what is needed but hope that in a new home I can be happy! Going to a shelter would make me anxious so hoping new home!

Story
We rescued Alfie from a rescue organization in Costa Rica called Halfway Home. We adopted him at 6 weeks old and brought him back to the US at 6 months old. He is an absolutely wonderful dog who is easily trained and very smart. He is loving and sweet. However, he does have some resource guarding behaviors around high value treats. We have three very young kids, and while this resource guard would be easily managed by adults, we do have concerns with kids and their unpredictable behavior. He would do really well with someone who has experience with dogs and is willing to work with him on this behavior. The trainers we have consulted have said that it is definitely something that can be trained away, but we just don’t have the resources or ability to work on it with kids in the home.
