Story
Nico is a shar-pei mix that had been in shelters for over two years. He was adopted in late December of 2025 and was returned shortly after due to bite. After this he was considered unadoptable and was put up for euthanasia. Many of the shelter staff and previous shelter staff disagreed with this and decided to make a group effort to foster nico until he could find his forever home. Nico is a very energetic boy who loves nothing more than to throw himself into bushes and find all the new smells. When he's not frolicking in the outdoors he turns into a lumpy couch potato. Whilst Nico needs some space with enough time this big man will grow attached to you and remain a loyal smart companion.

Story
Cinder is the absolute sweetest, most loving soul who has been with us since puppyhood. She is 8 years old. While she is incredibly smart—knowing all her basic commands and having perfect house manners (no chewing, digging jumping or trash-diving, and 110% potty trained)—she finds the busy "city life" overwhelming. Her Ideal Environment: She is a sensitive girl who thrives in calm, predictable spaces. Because she is reactive to other dogs and loud noises (like thunder or fireworks), she would be happiest as the only pet in a rural setting, such as a farm, ranch, or mountain home. Her Personality: • Loyal & Clean: She is beautiful, well-groomed, and a wonderful listener. • Warms Up Quickly: She barks at new visitors initially but settles in once she feels safe. • Affectionate: With her "inner circle," she is pure velcro and love. She isn't aggressive with people's food or toys; she’s just a "big-city dog" with a "small-town heart" looking for a quiet place to retire from the noise.

Story
I adopted him about a year ago and he’s been a really meaningful part of my life. He’s a smart, loyal dog who has learned a lot — he settles well in his crate/pen, listens to commands, and is calm and affectionate at home. He’s done well hanging out with familiar people and has made progress with training and structure. He can be sensitive and sometimes fearful in certain outside situations, especially when people appear suddenly (like getting out of cars), so he would do best with an experienced, patient owner who understands reactive or anxious dogs and can continue confidence-building training. He thrives in a calm, predictable environment and bonds closely with his person. I’m looking for a home that can give him stability, patience, and the time to keep building his confidence. He has a lot of good qualities and deserves someone who can work with his sensitivities while appreciating how loyal and responsive he is.

Story
Xena is a sweet, loyal, and affectionate mixed-breed girl with a playful spirit and a soft side. She enjoys lounging on comfy beds and relaxing with her people, but when it’s time to play, she is all in. Xena has a medium energy level with a strong love for play. She is a fetch and tug-of-war enthusiast and will happily play until she’s exhausted. She has lived as both an inside and outside dog and adapts well to either. She is house/crate trained. She does not counter surf, get into the trash, or chew anything other than her own toys. She does well with men, women, children, babies, cats, and other dogs, making her a great family dog. Xena has no known health issues. Due to changes in our household, we are no longer able to provide the time and attention Xena deserves. Additional Note: Xena can be adopted separately, but for adopters interested in welcoming two dogs, she and Olive are also available to go together.
