We adopted Kiya last spring. She has been trained to bike and walk on leash with little to no pulling. Very good with kids and other indoor animals. Has a very quite demeanor. And very good with other dogs when on leash. The reason we are looking for a new home for her is she need somewhere without chickens. We have continued training on this issue and its a habit hard to break.

Maggie was born in Alaska and has a ton of energy. She is used to running free one about an acre of land. Since moving to Colorado she is having to live in an apartment area with no where to run free. It’s not fair to her. She needs a home with lots of activity and room to run. She is sweet and loving.

Story
This is Regan. She is a beautiful girl who is in need of a new home. She is playful, cuddly, loyal and has such a sweet spirit. She was a shelter dog previously in Georgia. The couple that had her previously adopted her, was in Silt and decided to rehome her due to underlying family circumstances. I am choosing to rehome due to both family circumstances and due to some behavioral issues as well. She does semi okay with other dogs as long as it doesn’t involve treats, toys, food or water. She can get possessive at times. She is also territorial when it comes to attention from her humans. She has some peeing problems as well that have been addressed multiple times with no progress yet. She is potty trained for the most part, I just think she has a very tiny bladder. She is kennel trained, however she can’t handle being left alone more than 2 hours in the kennel or she will pee from anxiety and will put herself at risk in the kennel by trying to escape it. She is a sweetheart, just needs.

Story
I have had Marley since she was 6 months old. She is about 12 years old. She has went to the vet for a full exam, completely healthy besides some sore joints. Up to date on shots. She is a sweet sweet old lady now. She loves sunbathing and will sleep all day. I have moved her all around the country, 7 different states. Now that she is elderly and her mobility is getting more difficult, I don’t want to take her on another cross country trip. Please please rescue my sweet girl to keep you company.

Male, Adult
Thornton, CO
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
Nico is a shar-pei mix that had been in shelters for over two years. He was adopted in late December of 2025 and was returned shortly after due to bite. After this he was considered unadoptable and was put up for euthanasia. Many of the shelter staff and previous shelter staff disagreed with this and decided to make a group effort to foster nico until he could find his forever home. Nico is a very energetic boy who loves nothing more than to throw himself into bushes and find all the new smells. When he's not frolicking in the outdoors he turns into a lumpy couch potato. Whilst Nico needs some space with enough time this big man will grow attached to you and remain a loyal smart companion.

Cinder

Mutt/Labrador Retriever

Female, Adult
Littleton, CO
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, House-trained,
Story
Cinder is the absolute sweetest, most loving soul who has been with us since puppyhood. She is 8 years old. While she is incredibly smart, knowing all her basic commands and having perfect house manners (no chewing, digging jumping or trash-diving, and 110% potty trained) she finds the busy "city life" overwhelming. Her Ideal Environment: She is a sensitive girl who thrives in calm, predictable spaces. Because she is reactive to other dogs and loud noises (like thunder or fireworks), she would be happiest as the only pet in a rural setting, such as a farm, ranch, or mountain home. Her Personality: -Loyal & Clean: She is beautiful, well-groomed, and a wonderful listener. -Warms Up Quickly: She barks at new visitors initially but settles in once she feels safe. -Affectionate: With her "inner circle," she is pure velcro and love. She isn't aggressive with people's food or toys; she’s just a "big-city dog" with a "small-town heart" looking for a quiet place to retire from the noise.
