Story
Meet Frankie! 🐾 Frankie is a 5-year-old mixed-breed sweetheart who is looking for a family to call his own. This handsome "mega mutt" has all the qualities that make a wonderful companion and family dog. Frankie is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, house trained, and crate trained. He has successfully lived with children, dogs, and cats and is known for his sweet, friendly personality. He enjoys being around his people and is happiest when he is included in everyday family life. Frankie's current family loves him dearly and has made the difficult decision to seek a new home for him due to changing family circumstances, including the demands of a growing family and multiple pets. This decision comes from a place of love and a desire to ensure Frankie receives the time, attention, and environment he deserves. Frankie is a well-mannered boy who has adapted beautifully to life in a home. He enjoys companionship, settles nicely indoors, and is already familiar with the routines that help dogs succeed in family environments. Like many dogs, he can become nervous during thunderstorms and fireworks and appreciates a safe, comforting place to relax when loud noises occur. If you're looking for a loyal companion who is already past the puppy stage and ready to become part of the family, Frankie may be the perfect match. He has so much love to give and is ready to start his next chapter with a family who will cherish him. Could Frankie be the missing piece your family has been looking for? If you are interested in learning more about Frankie, please contact SDBP CT Rescue. We would love to introduce you to this special boy.

Story
Benny is a loving loyal companion. He is soon to be 3 years old. He is well trained in basic commands such as sit, stay, wait, here, place, and crate time. Benny needs a house with no other animals because he becomes very attached to his owner and will not share. He is a nervous dog that doesn’t like loud noises. He would do beautifully in a quiet home. He loves to play ball and run outside. He will also calmly sit with you on the couch and watch tv. He’s so smart! Benny has never been around kids so we don’t know how he would react but maybe with training he can learn. Benny was in a home with 2 cats but that was not ideal for him and now he is currently living in a home with 3 other rescue dogs. Benny needs work on his social skills and is being kept separate from the other dogs. He needs some training and maybe this will improve but for now he would need to be the only animal. We are desperate to find him a good home! He needs a yard, patience, kindness, experience and love.

Story
Peanut is a high energy dog with an amazing personality. He is super sweet, loving, and goofy. He loves running around outside at full blast, playing keep away, chasing small animals. 85lbs, 2.5 yrs old. He has no aggression whatsoever towards people, including small children. No food guarding or anxiety. However he does have a very strong prey drive. He’s ok with birds and squirrels, but rabbits still drive him crazy and he has caught a few. He is fairly well trained, and we do our best to enforce core commands daily with treats. We have a small toddler, Peanut’s size and energy have become frightening. We’re barely able to keep up with his energy needs with multiple walks a day, backyard keepaway chases, chew toys, food puzzles, and weekly day care. He has never been aggressive towards our son, but he has knocked him over very hard in his high energy excitement. Our goal is to find someone with a large property and a very active lifestyle so Peanut can live his best life.

Story
From a hoarding situation in LA and market with a date death we chanced the cowering was due to just plain old fear and sure enough. Mary and Griselda turned out to relax fairly quickly. Aged by the pound when spayed at approx 3 both have had their share of puppies. Those sad days are over. Now they both deserve the world A clean house, and forever love and care and a chance to live healthy happy dog lives. We just hope the others were as lucky. And lets make sure we take things slowly as Mary and Griselda were not socialized as puppies and left to fend for themselves in a disgusting environment. Pretty amazing that the foster has said they both seem to use wee pads if needed when she has the doors shut.

Story
One of 5 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation where more went to other rescues. Lyle and his siblings lived in squalor in Visalia CA until the owner died and they were pulled out by animal control officers in Hazmat suits! It was gross! The dogs had dreadfully long nails, live fleas feasting on the pups and skin conditions to show it. None was fixed and all were frightened but all love affection and were actually socialized to some extent. Lyle was initially fearful of humans, NEVER aggressive and now loves everyone. He was an annoying barker and still does have a voice when new people enter the room but overall he is a great and cute loving guy who you cant help but be drawn to. Housetraining needs to be monitored.but he is much better now He is a sweet guy, volunteer favorite. Bosses the other dogs and thinks he is pretty important. but initially shy with new humans who he thinks might bite him. Once they dont bare their teeth and pick him up he is their new best buddy. Due to his fearfulness he needs a fenced yard as he has been known to bolt. Loves being held and loves sleeping with (on) his human. He has bad breathe and always has but decent teeth so it must be his tummy. He is a very cool dog and we love him very much. His fur is thick and wavy.

Story
Stella is a wonderful dog who simply needs a home that is a better fit for her needs. We believe she would do best as the only dog in the household, possibly with a single person or a family where she can receive all of the attention she craves. She is incredibly affectionate, loves to cuddle, and is a true lap dog. Stella enjoys being close to her people and thrives on companionship. She is also a good watchdog and will bark to alert you when someone is outside.Stella is very cute, loving, and has many great qualities. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, she has not adjusted well to living with our younger dog, Cooper, and the situation has become increasingly difficult for both dogs. We feel that finding Stella a home where she can be the only pet will give her the best opportunity to succeed and be happy. This is a very difficult decision because Stella is a good dog who deserves a loving home. We are hoping to find the right person who can give her the attention she deserves.
