Story
Update: She has a vet appt for a full check up on June 9, VCA on East Haven, CT at 4pm, paid. If you’re interested you’re welcome to come and meet her.Stella is aprox 12lbs, born Feb-Mar 2018, she is spayed and has had all her shots for this year. Needs dental work but overall healthy. She is used to someone being at home but does use a crate to stay in and does not give us issues with it thus far. She goes out 3-4 times day. She’s is very playful and chilled inside the home but can let all the birds and squirrels in the neighborhood know that her backyard is hers alone. She love walks and cuddles, we’re not able to do that because of history of dog allergies so our care of her have been limited. She likes to have a towel or blanket to wrap herself in. She’s never had any issues of temperament or being aggressive to anyone. Good with big kids but small kids are rough on her and her tail so we always supervised. She’s an only pet but has shown good behavior with other well behaved dogs.

Story
Meet Bucky- a handsome 1.5 year old Doberman mix with the biggest heart and the sweetest personality. Bucky is an affectionate, people loving boy who absolutely adores cuddles, kisses and spending time with his humans. Bucky currently lives with his two dogs siblings and does well with dogs he knows and trust, but he does need time to warm up to other four legged friends! He is a high energy pup who would do best with an active family or person who can provide plenty of walks, playtime and mental stimulation to keep him happy and fulfilled. Bucky‘s mom loves him deeply and is making the incredibly difficult decision to find him a new home due to life changes and downsizing. She knows he deserves space to run, play and truly thrive! In the right home Bucky will be an incredibly loyal companion, adventure buddy and cuddle partner all in one! If you’re looking for a loving, goofy & energetic dog with so much love to give, Bucky may be the man for you!

Story
One of 5 dogs rescued from a hoarding situation where more went to other rescues. Lyle and his siblings lived in squalor in Visalia CA until the owner died and they were pulled out by animal control officers in Hazmat suits! It was gross! The dogs had dreadfully long nails, live fleas feasting on the pups and skin conditions to show it. None was fixed and all were frightened but all love affection and were actually socialized to some extent. Lyle was initially fearful of humans, NEVER aggressive and now loves everyone. He was an annoying barker and still does have a voice when new people enter the room but overall he is a great and cute loving guy who you cant help but be drawn to. Housetraining needs to be monitored.but he is much better now He is such a sweet guy, volunteer favorite. Bosses the other dogs and thinks he is pretty important. Due to his fearfulness he needs a fenced yard as he has been known to bolt. Loves being help and loves slee[ong with (on) his human. He has bad breathe and always has but decent teeth so it must be his tummy. He is a very cool dog and we love him very much. His fur is thick and wavy. Adoption fee 345.

Story
Maia is a beautiful, affectionate 5-year-old mixed breed (likely Collie/Australian Shepherd mix) we have loved since adopting her as a puppy. She is loyal, intelligent, and deeply bonded to her people, and thrives with attention, routine, and companionship. As our family has grown and our home has become busy with young children and frequent visitors, we’ve realized this environment is not the right fit for Maia. She becomes very excitable around guests and struggles to settle, and she is not comfortable in a high-energy, child-focused household. We believe Maia would be happiest in a calm, adult-only home with experienced dog owners who can give her consistent structure and time. She is healthy, well cared for, and this difficult decision has been made entirely with her wellbeing in mind. We are committed to finding her a loving, lasting home and supporting a smooth transition.

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Ash is 8 years old but has the personality of a puppy. He is playful and very goofy. He has a silly personality that brings a lot of joy and laughter into the home. He is a very affectionate dog who loves being pet and receiving attention, though he can be shy when meeting new people at first. Once he feels comfortable, his loving, playful, and goofy nature really shines through. He forms strong bonds with the people he trusts and thrives on companionship. He is an anxious dog and does not do well around other dogs. He is not dog-friendly and will bark at them, so he would do best as the only pet in a calm, stable home where he can feel safe and secure. An experienced, patient owner who understands anxious dogs would be ideal for him. He also does not do well being left alone for long periods of time and struggles if left home alone for more than about 8 hours. He would do best with someone who has a flexible schedule, works from home, or can provide regular companionship and routine.
