Story
Penny is a 1-year-old mixed breed I rescued as a puppy from the streets of Brazil and brought to the United States so she could have a safe life. She is try about 50 pounds, spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is energetic, playful, intelligent, and very affectionate when she is on her own. Penny loves being outside and would thrive in an active home, ideally with a fenced yard. She does best as the only pet, as she can be reactive with other animals and sometimes with unfamiliar people. She is crate trained, knows basic commands (sit, down, paw), and learns quickly with consistent training. I am hoping to find her a patient, experienced owner who can give her the structure, exercise, and attention she needs to truly thrive.

Story
I adopted him from the Humane Society in Newington, CT when he was just 4 months old, and he’s been the sweetest, most gentle companion ever since. He’s a goofy, laid-back boy who loves his stuffed toys and spending time outside—his favorite thing is sunbathing in a quiet yard. He enjoys being near his person, but he’s very independent and doesn’t need constant attention. He’s more of a calm presence than a high-energy dog. He would do best as the only pet in a low-excitement home where he can fully relax. His ideal home would be with someone who works remotely or is retired, with access to a yard where he can lounge and enjoy the outdoors. He enjoys car rides (short ones especially!), cozy dog beds with a raised edge to rest his head, and he loves peanut butter. He’s not a fan of salmon or lamb flavors, and he even has a soft spot for jazz music and Taylor Swift. He’s truly a special dog looking for a peaceful home where he can feel safe, comfortable, and loved. 💛
