Story
He was found as a puppy in a cornfield in missouri ive had him since he was around 9 weeks. I didnt know about socialization and he was raised in a house with a yard.. I moved into a small apartment and im having a baby and the new triggers of an apartment make him fear reactive of strangers particularly just men (barks) so i muzzle trained him recently and although hes never bit i wanted to be extra cautious, Good for a woman looking to adopt and okay with some men would just need to meet him and see he listens within a home he is a good dog. He doesnt potty in the house or damage anything, loves toys, listens to basic commands good with other dogs he loves to cuddle hes goofy and i love him more than anything in the world. He needs a good home with a yard and some socialization training.

Story
Rescued her in 2019 she's a really good girl. I just moved out of my moms house. I cant have her in my apartment and its all i could afford and have a baby comming. She loves to cuddle. Shes very sweet. My heart is broken that I even have to get rid of her, but I want it to be to a good home and not a shelter i need a good person looking to adopt her. shes very good for someone thats lonely and low maintenance. She just needs to go to the bathroom and be fed and be pet. you cannot trim her nails. She has black nails and has been quicked before so shes scared of clippers and her paws being grabbed in general, i found walks on pavement shorten them. Shes playful but doesnt have super high energy and needs a loving home

Story
Holt is a loving and charismatic dog who needs to live in a single-dog home or potentially a home with a female dog. He's 2 years old and loves to play with other dogs, adults and children. He plays with our friend's German Shepherd, Dixie, for hours as well as loves all our friends' children. It honestly breaks my heart to re-home him but he and our other dog get jealous or defensive of each other without warning (only in our home). Of the two, Holt is most adaptable. Holt has ever hurt another dog nor a person. He has been exposed to many dogs, people and even stayed in multiple friends' homes without incident, including our trainer's. Holt has been to a board and train and knows many commands as well as being house & crate trained also. Holt is high energy, so I recommend a home with a yard or someone who is willing to take him for walks (we do 2-5 miles a day). I would also be happy to give someone our dog treadmill if interested. I just want Holt to find a loving and happy home.

Story
I have had Deku since he was 2 months old. Deku is a retired service animal who was retired early due to being attacked in gear. Due to this Deku became reactive and does not get along well with other dogs or cats in the home. He does well at dog parks but not with other animals in the home. Making the post isn’t easy as Deku has been my best friend for 6 years. The reason we are rehoming him is we have a baby who is starting to crawl and walk. Deku has shown fear and nervousness around our child moving. We want Deku to succeed and be in a home where he can be the lovable playful Deku we know and love. I ask that if you want Deku, to be ok with meeting me first and seeing how you get along with him. He’s an amazing dog with a heart so big it makes you cry. I love Deku and I want him to go to a home that will love him as much as I do.

Story
Stella is an energetic and loyal dog who we’ve cared and loved for over the past 6 years. Unfortunately due to our current situation we’re unable to keep her and looking to find her a new home. We rescued Stella 6 years ago and she is fully house trained. She could still use some fine tuning on jumping and basic obedience but with the right amount of patience and attention this can be achieved. We’re heartbroken by this decision (it’s not an easy one) and hope to find her a more stable environment to live in. We’ve taken Stella just about everywhere, two cross country road trips and multiple flights cross country, she’s a great travel companion. She does have some medical issues to be aware of, primarily allergies. We’ve never been able to pinpoint the root cause but we give her apoquel daily along with cytopoint every 60-90 days. There is a bit of a financial burden that comes with Stella and I can provide more specifics if you’re interested in loving this animal as much as we do.

Story
Dexter is a 4-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund (chi-weenie) mix weighing approximately 26 pounds. He came to us when his owner died and he was being kept in a tiny cage. He is timid but has come a long way. He loves to play tug of war and he is very strong. He gets along with the other dogs but has not been cat or kid-tested. He is friendly and lovable when he gets to know you. His adoption donation is $250 which includes his neuter, vaccinations, and microchip. He is heartworm-negative and on monthly prevention. He is still grieving for the loss of his owner and home so please help him heal. https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/store/p42/Dexter.html We are only able to adopt within the state of Florida. We have a page on our website that explains our adoption process, and contains a link to our adoption application.
