we’ve been trying to find a new home for one of our dogs. We’re moving out of a bad living situation and we can’t take him with us because he was attacked by another unfixed male and he can be a little reactive. He’s a pocket bully lab mix named Bobo. He’s as sweet as can be, so smart, and very food motivated. We’ve been looking for him a home for going on two months. My fiancé has been staying at the old house and me and our one year old have been at the new house. It’s been a strain on our family and we’re running out of options and we really don’t want to have to take him to a shelter. He’s good with cats and kids, he has been introduced to other dogs but he was really overwhelmed by it and we haven’t had time to work with him because I was heavily pregnant then with a baby. He’s two and his birthday is July 31st. He also has a hot spot problem but it’s manageable with allergy medicine.

We gave a dog to my cousin, he let it get pregnant, came back to the house dropped it off and left. That mother gave birth to this and a few other dogs, she was fixed and adopted out. This one has spent the first part of life running around the yard and having fun till the new neighbors threw a fit so we had to put him and his brother in a cage. We now have the pet safe invisible fence so they can be in the yard again. I can't keep them on there indefinitely because you're not suppose to according to the instructions. They required a lot of attention. At least 4 hours of human contact a day. They will require training as they think they can just go to the bathroom anywhere they want. This one has something going on with its front elbows I'm guessing from being in the cage too long. It should get better but it's not gross or bleeding the fur just won't grow back. They like to chew. On. Everything. They like to hump pretty much any dog in. They kill an opossum and a large snake recently.

I adopted Apollo about 5 years ago from Dekalb County Animal Shelter when he was about 8 or 9mos old. He is the most sweetest dog ever. He’s super friendly, but can be a bit too friendly and times and loves physical touch! He’s an easy going dude that loves to sit out on the balcony and people watch.

Story
Idgie was adopted at the Athens Humane Society when she was about six months old. They found her on the street and couldn't imagine that she has been on the street long because she was so sweet and friendly. Idgie LOVES people. She wants to snuggle and love our friends when they come over. Even though she is six, she still has puppy-like excitement. She is smart and learns quickly. For example, when she hears the sound of an electric toothbrush, she knows its time for bed and will go directly to her crate. When she sees one of us get her leash for a walk, she will go get the other so we can all go together. She loves it when the whole family is together, and wants to heard us into the same room. Idgie will be a great dog for someone who wants a companion that gives them unconditional love and greets them with joy every time they come home.

I adopted Avery from a foster to be a companion for my other dog I had adopted in April. My hip has become very painful - I'm now looking at a hip replacement - and I felt my other dog needed a companion to play with since our walks have gotten shorter and slower. Avery is still a puppy, about 8 months old. She and the other dog get along really well. They love to play tug of war, "play fight" and chase each other in and out of the dog door and around the house.Avery is:• Very friendly with every person and dog she meets• A true bundle of energy who loves to run and play• A total cuddler who likes to sleep right next to you• About 8 months old and ready for training• Spayed, microchipped, and good with other dogsAvery is very friendly and wants to be best friends with everyone, however she has more energy than I can handle with my bad hip. She would do best in a home with plenty of outdoor space and someone who has the time and energy to play with her and continue her puppy training.
