Story
These are my mom‘s dogs. She is currently in the hospital and going into a facility and we’re having to sell her house to pay for it. Meanwhile, she has two elderly dogs that need a home. This is Amber and she has some tumor like thing hanging from her butt. That will need to be addressed soon. My mom did not take care of them as she should have unfortunately. They need a home in the next three weeks as we’re closing on December 5.

Story
Copper is a sweet young pup who loves to run around and play with other dogs. He is extremely goofy and entertaining when his personality comes out, but he is anxious at first when meeting people. He’s had some training in the past to get him more comfortable being around new people and dogs, but he was adopted from a shelter so he has pretty severe anxiety. He’s also on medication for that, but he needs a little more training which I unfortunately can’t afford at the moment. He has so much potential and would be perfect for a home with other dogs and a backyard for him to run around in. :)

Story
My sister bought him a few years ago while I was in college. When I graduated and moved back home in May (2025), I saw that my sister was not properly caring for this dog. Me and the rest of my family are allergic to dogs, so he has to stay in the garage. My sister often does not come back more than once or twice a day to take him out briefly before leaving, and I think he is becoming depressed. I tried finding someone to take him, but I do not know anyone who can. He is not fixed, and he does not have his shots. He is trained to use the bathroom outside, and he is not aggressive at all. He is very playful, and he is a great dog. It is just that none of us can take care of him and my sister can not do it. He can go almost anywhere, but the ideal home would be one with yard space to run around. If that is not there, he is great with just walks, too. I can pay for his shots, too, if that helps him get adopted.

Story
We acquired Luke from the Hall County animal shelter. His original name was Kevin, but we thought Luke fit him much better. He was such a cute and sweet dog that we could not leave without him. He’s 1 year and almost 2 months old. So he’s still a puppy. He is very active with a lot of energy. We have his DNA report and all his medical records. He is mostly a Husky, Dalmatian, and Great Pyrenees mix breed. He is house trained and can sit, lay, go to place, play fetch (use command ‘out’ and point to ground, and he’ll drop the ball). He has a sweet temperament and loves the company of others. He would do well living with another dog and a big area to play and run. We are looking to rehome him due to a new job. The new job requires long hours away from home. Luke would be miserable without company. Plus we do not want to crate him for extended periods of time. We are looking for a good home for Luke. Someone who will love and play with him.

Story
Our high school senior fell in love with "Sunny" in a store parking lot in January 2025. A kind woman had rescued a litter of 10 husky mix pups. We already had a now 6 year old golden retriever, but had been discussing whether or not it might be nice for our current dog to have a playmate. Well, we said yes to taking Sunny in. She is super smart and was easily house-trained, but VERY much the alpha to our golden. Sometimes they play fight, but sometimes it's real fighting! We were hoping they would eventually learn to co-exist, but it seems Sunny might be a better "only child". Head up, Sunny needs LOTS of exercise. We've been taking Sunny to playtime at our local vet during the work week to make sure she gets adequate exercise. Unfortunately, she has recently been made to play by herself because she was aggressive with some other dogs. She is absolutely loving to humans. She has separation anxiety and, if left alone uncrated, will eat pillows, stuffed animals,

Story
We found Cheeto on a Facebook group and have had him for 10 years - he is probably around 11 years old. Cheeto is a pretty low maintenance dog, low energy, does not require too much attention, but he does not do well with dogs that are high energy and like to get in his face. He also cannot be trusted around young kids. He would be ok around kids who know to respect his boundaries (older kids). He is fully house broken and potty trained and knows basic commands. We just don’t have the time and energy to care for him and must keep him separated from our kids. Cheeto takes some time to warm up to people and can show leash aggression but otherwise he is a very sweet dog who just wants to spend time around his humans.
