Daisy is a 6.5 year old lab mix. She LOVES people(adults, older kids and teenagers), going on walks, playing fetch, swimming in water and snuggling. Unfortunately she does not do well around other dogs and our now infant/toddler. However, she is totally fine with and loves kids that are old enough to respect her boundaries. Daisy has never bit anyone, we are just trying to prevent that happening with our infant/toddler. Daisy would thrive in a home where she can be the only dog child. She is fully potty trained, knows how to use a dog door and walk on a leash.

Rocky is a mixed breed who turned 6 on July 11th! Currently I am changing schedules at work and can no longer provide proper care. He loves to play and go on long walks. He is not used to being around other dogs much but on walks he gets along with them passing by. Hides under beds during a thunderstorm and will snuggle up if nearby. If excited he does tend to pull on leash but is easily distracted with some treats. Someone I was with had him for most of the time before handed over to me so I wasn’t able to completely focus on training. Very sweet and full of energy!

At the time I adopted Sanji, I lived in a house with a yard, but soon moved to an apartment. Apartment life plus my 13 hour shifts aren’t good for him. Sanji is a sweet VERY energetic 3 year old who loves to run and jump and hunt for bugs and lizards in the grass. His favorite playtime is outside with a feather stick on a long string. He needs a home with a 6 foot privacy fence around the yard (this boy jumps over anything else going after squirrels and deer). He doesn’t like other dogs, so no dog parks, and doesn’t like being left alone for long periods. When he’s with his humans, he is very sweet. He loves to snuggle, and sleeping in your bed is a must – it’s his love language! His perfect human would be at home with him, patient and knowledgeable about positive reinforcement training, and could train him on a leash for long walks. Yes, he is a big handful, but he still deserves to be loved by someone with the time to exercise and train him so he can be happy.

Once he trusts you, he will become your shadow, following you around for cuddles, kisses, and all the love he has to give. Bernard has worked with professional trainers, including an intensive three-week board-and-train program. He walks well on a leash and knows commands. He is motivated, intelligent, and thrives with structure, consistency, and clear expectations. Bernard needs a very specific kind of home. Bernard is a reactive dog who has made significant progress with training but has a history of two bite incidents involving unfamiliar people. Both incidents broke the skin, although neither required medical attention. He has also displayed dog-directed aggression. Because of this, Bernard needs: - An experienced owner who understands canine reactivity and has experience managing a dog with a bite history.

I adopted Avery from a foster to be a companion for my other dog I had adopted in April. My hip has become very painful - I'm now looking at a hip replacement - and I felt my other dog needed a companion to play with since our walks have gotten shorter and slower. Avery is still a puppy, about 8 months old. She and the other dog get along really well. They love to play tug of war, "play fight" and chase each other in and out of the dog door and around the house.Avery is:• Very friendly with every person and dog she meets• A true bundle of energy who loves to run and play• A total cuddler who likes to sleep right next to you• About 8 months old and ready for training• Spayed, microchipped, and good with other dogsAvery is very friendly and wants to be best friends with everyone, however she has more energy than I can handle with my bad hip. She would do best in a home with plenty of outdoor space and someone who has the time and energy to play with her and continue her puppy training.
