Story
I acquired my pet as a puppy from someone whose dog just had puppies. She’s 7 years old so she’s a senior now, even though she’s still young in my eyes. She needs a new home that has patience and lots of cuddles. She is highly territorial and can use a single person, who has time to train her to be less on guard, who also has a large yard for her to explore! She will come on command in the house and will grab her leash if asked. She’s a chill house dog, that is trained not to go in the home. She loves to walk although is a leash puller. With the right home she can enjoy some more love that we are unable to give her as we are expanding our family, keeping her away from our children. She’s very rambunctious and silly and still has much life to live. We believe she is allergic to chicken and in the warmer seasons she has really terrible allergies. She loves window watching/barking and is excited to explore outdoors.

Story
She’s a great girl!! She’s about 3 years old. She is still very much puppy and too hyper for a house with a toddler. Unfortunately we don’t have the time to devote to training. She is great with our other dog and loves all dogs, always wants to make new friends. She is good with our female cat but not the male cat. She will lick your face off. She doesn’t know she isn’t a lap dog! She wouldn’t intentionally hurt anyone, she just gets very excited and has zero slow when she goes after something she wants. For that reason not good with infants and toddlers. She knows sit, sometimes stay, lay. She goes in the car wonderfully. Not great on a leash, she wants to explore everything. She has a few extra pounds because she has the man of the house trained for her snacks and she thinks she is the toddlers personal vacuum cleaner. Please give her a good home. This isn’t easy but we love her enough to not have her in another room all the time.

Story
I rescued Sammy from the Humane Society 2.5 years ago (his name is technically Samwise, but I call him Sammy). He will turn 3 on July 7th. He is sweet, loving, energetic, very smart and great with kids. Unfortunately I'm going to be moving in with my girlfriend who is very allergic to him -- he is short haired and she reacts really strongly to him. He loves walks and playing outside, loves playing with and chewing on toys, and loves to snuggle. Sammy is gentle with young kids and loves to fetch. He could use a great, loving home!I'll also happily pass along a bunch of food, a couple of crates, a couple of leashes, some flea / tick medicine, bowls and treats for Sammy.

Story
Meet Houdini! His birthday is 1/9/25. He came from Texas. We adopted him from the Toledo humane society. He is a sweet and loving boy who wants to run and play and get all the cuddles. He loves treats and is a pretty quick learner. He speaks, shakes hand, lays down, sits, stays (when he wants) so still working on that. We want to rehome him because he gets nervous or scared a lot in our house, he will pee and try hiding. A quiet single person home would be best for him, one person working with him. We have kids cats another dog he does fine with but when every person is home it gets loud and his demeanor changes. I just want him to be happy and comfortable in his own home and it just isn’t our house. We have tried for a year to make him comfortable he just doesn’t seem to feel it.

Story
Riley is such a sweet girl who just wants to be loved. I got her back in October 2025 from the Ingham County Shelter and they thought she was around 3 years old then. She had just had puppies and was abandoned by her family. I am looking to rehome her because she can be rough with my other dog. They get along ok but Riley would like all the attention and doesn’t allow our other dog to be close with us or play. I take both dogs to the dog park and Riley does great with all the other dogs. She loves to be with people and cuddle. She knows basic commands like sit and lay down. She does pull while walking on her leash but I am sure after some training she would learn not to pull. She does want to please! I feel like she would do best if she was the only dog in the house because she does love all the attention. She can jump up so I don’t think she would be good with younger kids because she is so big and could knock them over.
