Story
Ginger is a 10 year old mixed breed female. Ginger is in good health and is neutered. She's a very high energy dog even for her age. She acts just like a puppy! She loves to go on walks to the beach, parks and neighborhood. She also loves to play catch but does have a hard time giving the ball back sometimes. She loves to get groomed and bath but is very nervous when she needs her nails trimmed.Ginger lives now with 3 adult rescue cats. She does get a little jealous at time but for the most part just minds her business waiting to go for a walk or napping on the couch.Ginger likes other dogs but plays rough and then might take it too far. She's NEVER bite anyone or any other dog or cat ......Her BARK is definitely because she is scared and needs a little reassurance from her Dog Dad or Momma.

Story
Luna will be 2 in July and came to my family after a relative rescued her from a neglect situation. We are unsure of her breed but our vet suspects she is a husky/shepherd mix. She is up to date on her shots and has been spayed. She is extremely playful and energetic and would be best with a family with a mid-high energy lifestyle. She is very cuddly and loves being pet/snuggled. For the most part she is house broken but has the occasional accident. Luna gets along very well with our older German shepherd and is overall very playful with other animals. Though, she would probably do best with other pets who are more docile as she is more dominant.

Story
Bernie was my son’s dog. She was a rescue from a reservation in Arizona. She is 6 years old, sweet, completely housetrained, not at all destructive when left alone. We have been keeping her but she does not get along with our cat Cecil who is 8 years old. She loves going on walks, loves other dogs. As often as I can I take her to off-leash in Prospect Park, she loves to run, chase or be chased by other dogs. She is a dear sweet girl but she does not like cats. We live in NYC and she is used to living in Colorado where it is less noisy and there are lots of opportunities to get outside and run. We are looking for a home for her someplace more rural, or at least with outside space, perhaps where there are other dogs so she can have a friend or two. She might be fine with children but we don’t really know as we are in our 60s and it was just her and our son. We will not give her up unless we find a place where she could have a better life with someone kind who has more space.

Story
Benny can be very sweet. But when away from owner gets a little sad. He is an anxious dog and bites when he feels threatened. He needs a fresh start, with someone patient who can get him the behavioral training he needs. And then I think he’ll be able to thrive.

Story
Meet this sweet 2-3 year-old, 65lbs pup who’s ready to find his forever home! He’s super friendly with other dogs and loves getting attention—whether it’s pats or playtime, he’s all in. While cats may run from him, he’s not the type to chase, so he’ll happily share space without causing any fuss. This gentle soul is great with people, especially kids, and loves a good chew on his toys or bones. He’s not a fan of loud noises but is always excited for walks and outdoor playtime. He’s a social pup who doesn’t enjoy being alone, so he’s looking for a loving family to share his heart with!
