Story
Little Bit was found in the parking lot of the Montgomery County Women's Center, with her friend, Pocket. They were severely undernourished, and Little Bit had recently had a litter of puppies as her mammeries were still swollen from nursing. While she and Pocket are very much bonded, she does not get along well with other dogs. While we would like to see her adopted with her pal, we understand that might not be possible. She is fantastic with older kids, but has done well with kids as young as 5, as long as those children were supervised. She is very high energy and would be a great agility dog. She can be possessive of her human but is very snuggly. She would love to spend her day running until she is exhausted and then napping in your lap until it is time to run again. She was recently spayed and microchipped by Texas Litter Control and received her annual rabies and distemper shots. All paperwork will be transferred to her adopter. Fees will reimburse the cost of vet care.

She is a little anxious in new situations but has learned to adapt well. Sweetie gets along great with kids and does well with most dogs. It would likely be best for her to have access to a yard. Sweetie has grown accustomed to living inside a home and knows how to do so. She sleeps on a doggie bed or the sofa. She is housebroken. She loves dog toys. Sweetie has an INCREDIBLE story! She was rescued from the streets and has been living with her foster family for the last 6 months. Sweetie has been given lots of love and patience and has been rehabilitated from living on the street. She is looking for a loving home where she will be a beloved pet. I was found with my brother on the side of a rural road near Zube Park in Hockley, TX on December 23, 2023. Since then, I have been fostered by the family who found me! My perfect home would be with owners that a physically active and love to play with me. I am very athletic and love playing fetch. I sleep in my crate every night and love it. However, I am still working on being crated during the day for short periods. I am also potty trained and know how to sit. I am working on my loose leash walking skills and not jumping up on people when I first meet them. I am a little shy with big "scary" men when I first meet them but quickly warm up when I realize they have treats and are my friends. My name is Jasmine. I know my scars are what caught your eye, but my love will snag your heart. I have had a rough start to life. I was found as a stray on the streets of Houston. Once I had been adopted from Barc, but somehow I got lost. While out on my own, I was hit by something and my leg was broken. The staff at Richmond Avenue Animal Hospital took me in and raise money to get my leg fixed. I was sent to an orthopedic surgeon and he double plated, my leg. I am all fixed and better than ever. I have been fostered in a home and did great. I do get anxious when meeting new dogs but it is only because I want to play. I’m dreaming of a new safe home where I will be loved and give back more love. Please consider adopting me!!
