HELP.....update. we are no longer able to care for Winston and need to find a home Asap. He needs a large space to run and would be best suited for an active family or a farm setting. He is a good dog, but we don't have the time for him and my job is about to get very demanding with travel. He is very active and a talker! We are looking for a new home for Winston. He is 11 months old, he potties outside (we have a dog door) and is very sweet. His breed is unknown, but we were told he was part Shepherd mix, but the only thing remotely Shepherd is his ears! I believe that he is most likely part cattle dog and something else. He is very active and loves his daily walks. Currently he weights 52 lbs and I don't think he will get much larger. He is very sweet and smart. He is not kennel trained, but sleeps in our kitchen at night on a pallet of blankets. I really hope I can find the right family for him. Current on all shots, neutered and walks well on a leash.

Story
Casey is a very loving, quiet, gentle and sweet boy. He would do best in a relaxed home. He can be shy and enjoys cuddles, pets and playing with his toys. He is very docile and a pleasure to be around. He does get scared of thunderstorms and likes to know someone is near. He is not caged and has free range of the home and does well, but has also been reported as having good behaviour when boarded.

Story
We got this sweet, happy, healthy, energetic dog from a shelter about 18 months ago. Salty is almost 2 years old. She loves her family and gives lots of kisses. She is tolerant of rough snuggles from my young kids. She is protective of her territory and her people, so she will need an owner who can help her feel calm and secure in a new place so she doesn't get aggressive with strangers. Salty is a large dog, 75 pounds, so she will do best with a family who can handle large dogs and can handle her guarding instincts. We have worked a lot with Salty to help her be responsive to owner commands, but she still needs lots of training reinforcement. She loves the outdoors and swimming! Salty would be great for an active family with enough space outside to play. We wish we could keep her, but changes in job responsibilities with more frequent travel means we don't have time to give her the happy life she deserves.

Story
We rescued our dog after finding her as a stray and bringing her into our home. Since then, she has become a loving, loyal, and energetic part of our family. She is wonderful with children, very affectionate, and loves being around people. She enjoys playing, being active, and getting attention from her family members. She would do best in a home that can give her plenty of exercise, structure, and love. She currently lives with another dog and does well overall, but she can be food defensive, so supervised feeding and proper boundaries are important. With our growing family, including a small child and another baby on the way, we feel we can no longer safely manage two dogs in the home and want to make sure she has the best environment possible. This decision has been incredibly hard for our family because she is truly a sweet and loving dog. We want to find her a patient, caring home where she can continue to thrive and get the attention and activity she deserves.

Story
My 17 year old son brought (approx 6 m old) Gracie home 3 weeks ago. He "adopted" Gracie from a family who was giving away a litter of puppies. My son thought Gracie would be a good companion for his grandmother, who lost her dog last summer - and misses her dog terribly.Unfortunately, my mother is frail - and although 16 lb Gracie would be an excellent companion, she would also be a tripping hazard.Gracie is a sweet dog, but we already have 2 dogs, a rabbit and a chinchilla. Another is too much.Gracie is good with people, other animals (she does not bother our rabbit or chinchilla, who are in a pen), she's leash trained, and she's obeying commands like "stay", "here" and "no".She is very protective - and barks when a stranger comes to the home. The bark is deep, not yappy. We took her to the vet and got her 1st round of shots plus heartworm/flea/tick Rx's. Please consider this sweet dog to be your new best friend.
