Story
NAME: Blythe Sex: male Color/Pattern: black and white tuxedo Breed: Terrier mix Weight: ~15-20 lbs Age at intake: ~4-5 months BDAY approx: ~ Sept 11, 2024 Intake date : Jan 11, 2025 Found date: Jan 9 Coat length: very short Description BLYTHE is a sleek and shiny, black and white boo boo with Dumbo ears. He is responsive, yet quiet, only reacting when spoken to. Personality This little guy we named Blythe, was very quiet and submissive the first few days in his foster home. He gets wiggly and excited when you pay him affection. Blythe is a sweetie, submissive and obedient. He likes to hang out in his crate with the door open where he feels safe to watch from there. He became very playful once he felt more confident in his new digs after a few days. He loves going outside and doesn't mind the weather no matter what it is. He picks up on commands quickly and learns from other dogs' examples. He was already doing well with potty training and socializing within 1 week of picking him up off the street. This puppy is an easy boy who loves being loved, and is low maintenance, but high reward in reciprocating affection. Background Blythe was probably only about 4 months old when found abandoned at a long term stay hotel along 290 in Houston the 2nd week of January 2025. Management had called animal control but no one came to get him. It was cold and he was skin and bones. He was living under a staircase for 5 days where residents had given him a hotel towel to sleep on. When he heard the volunteer call to him he started wiggling excitedly and licking her hands. He was timid and resistant about being put on a leash, but then he was quiet and very good on the ride home in the truck, even when a 2nd dog was also picked up. Happy to announce that he had already filled back out 1 week later after eating well, and playing with all other foster dogs. Story
My aunt passed away in late December, leaving behind a 7-year old (roughly) dog, LeBron. He has been bounce around family members for the last few months as no one is wanting or able to keep him. He was dropped off at my cousin’s house this week (it was her mom’s dog) without warning. Unfortunately, through her own grief and daily schedule, she can’t keep him either. We are trying to help him find the best option for him as we all would love for him to find a loving home. His breed is unknown, roughly 7 years old as mentioned, very good day, he walks backwards through doors, doesn’t bark much, but does seem to be grieving himself. He loves cuddles and car rides. My aunt loved this dog dearly and spoiled him rotten! We’d love for him to have a safe loving new home.

Story
Stunning Rikki walked right into someone’s house. We don’t know if she was dumped or if she is a stray, but no one is claiming her. She is about 8 mos old and 30 lbs. She is very curious and friendly; she loves human interaction. She is eager to please, so she is easy to train. She respects boundaries set by humans and dogs and cats. She has zero resource aggression. Because she is young, she still has that puppy energy, but she isn’t destructive and does well in a kennel. She has not been vetted, but I am willing to cover that before she goes home. Rikki deserves a loving and safe family and home!!

Story
Bear spent the first 10 months of his life with his original owners. I adopted him in May 2025 and have loved him deeply ever since. He has never been crated and has lived as a full member of the family. Bear has completed two weeks of professional training at Animal Crackers in October 2025 and has also been evaluated by Stephanie Bennett at Believe in Dog. Why Bear Needs a New Home This is an incredibly difficult decision, and one that comes from a place of love and responsibility. I have a chronic medical condition that significantly affects my energy level. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to consistently meet Bear’s daily exercise needs, particularly regular walks. Bear is a high energy dog, and it would not be fair to him to remain in an environment where his physical and mental needs cannot always be met. Bear deserves a home where his energy, intelligence, and enthusiasm can be fully supported.

Story
Her previous owner took her to my home to get euthanized and to our surprise she was perfectly healthy so I decided to take her in as a foster to find her a home. Unfortunately, I haven't found her a home and she's a very good dog but she's alone for most of the day and she needs someone who's able to give her that attention and love she needs. She is kennel trained but after a while she begins to get anxious if she's there for too long as well if there's thunder. She waits in the morning and after work to use the restroom but does pull towards other pets around her.never aggressively just very curious. Yet my roommate and I haven't taken that chance to let her go with other dogs. I have a ferret that she plays with here and there as well as a cat and dog interactions where she's curious and playful but never barks. She's a good girl who needs a loving home.
