Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Yeti found himself unwanted and in a high kill shelter in West Texas. He is good with other dogs and people, and is indifferent to cats.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful. Yeti has been in MN for a couple of weeks now and his personality is really starting to shine! He is an amazing loyal companion. He has incredible house manners: potty trained, crate trained, quiet besides short alert barks if someone is arriving. Due to the alert barking he would not be best suited for apartment living.  He did very well with bathing and grooming, gets zoomies after baths.  He doesn't shed alot right now, but we are sure he will when the seasons change. The only potential behavior to watch for is occasional counter surfing. Gentle, slow positive reinforcement training will be key. His favorite activities so far seem to be true Pyrenees pastimes: exploring the outdoors, taking long walks and jogs, wandering through meadows, observing the activities of the house. He doesn’t care much for toys, but loves marrow bones. He ideally would like a large yard that has a physical fence. He was not the biggest fan of the leash, but with gentle patience he has improved greatly and enjoys going for walks. He loves going for car rides, We believe he would do fine as the only pet. He doesn’t seem to need constant attention, so his owners could leave him at home during work. However, he is still young so he requires extended time outdoors and long daily walks.  He is friendly or indifferent to cats, he is good with dogs (though would not do well with dog parks as he prefers slower intros and lower energy dogs initally). He has been around young kids and toddlers (needs some time & space to warm up to their fast movements/noises), and even did well with a pet rabbit. He would do best in adult only home even if there is not another dog in the home. IF there are kids in the home, another dog is a must and will help him feel comfortable with the kids and adjust. While he looks like a giant stuffed animal, he is not a fan of having kids in his face, this should be considered when applying, he will need time to trust and allow them into his personal space should he choose to allow it.   If you are looking for a calm, gentle guardian who loves exploring the outdoors, you need to check out Yeti! First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vetting appointment in early September.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 30, 2026, 4:01 pm

Story
Introducing Kit: part Great Pyrenees, part Doberman, and 100% professional weirdo. She’s about three years old, has legs for days, and a nose that works overtime like a tiny detective on an endless case. Kit has gone from “stranger danger” mode to “sniff your hair while you’re watching Netflix” mode, and that’s what we call progress.   Her daily routine is very official: three laps around her kennel like an Olympic track star before dinner, followed by stealing the couch or your bed because, honestly, she’s royalty and crates are for peasants. She’s learning that humans = belly rub dispensers, and she’s totally here for it.   Kit is a huge fan of dogs, though she sometimes comes in a little too hot on first introductions (think: bossy camp counselor vibes). Once she knows who’s in charge, she’s good to go, and she’s the best babysitter for puppies. What she is not into? Cats, chickens, birds, squirrels, or basically anything small and fluffy that isn’t her designated sibling. For those, her prey drive kicks in and—let’s just say—it’s a hard no.   She’s obsessed with running, but luckily, she’s not a fence-jumper. A nice sturdy yard is her dream stage for zoomies. When she’s not sprinting, she’s all about long walks, soft toys, and claiming furniture like it’s her birthright. She’ll even listen to “leave it” when she’s yelling at the neighbors, which is basically the dog version of good manners.   Kit is still a little shy at first, but once she warms up, you’ll find a goofy, loyal, slightly dramatic best friend who makes the small victories (like coming when called) feel like winning the lottery. She’s been waiting long enough—this couch hog is ready to claim your couch and, more importantly, your heart.       Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 30, 2026, 4:05 pm
