Story
Hi there! My name is Bonsai — which is funny, because I’m already 37 pounds at over three months old… and let’s be honest, I’m probably going to grow into more of a full-sized tree than a tiny bonsai plant.
I just arrived at the rescue after getting sprung from the shelter, so my people here are still getting to know me. What they do know is that I’m a typical Great Pyrenees puppy — big, fluffy, curious, and still figuring out how the world works.
Right now I’m basically a giant baby in a growing body. I love attention, I love toys, and I’m learning that humans are pretty great. Like any puppy, I’m going to need a family that’s ready to help me with the basics — things like training, structure, and learning good manners as I grow into my very large paws.
One thing you should know about me: I have a voice and I’m not afraid to use it. When I want attention, I’ll happily let you know! Because of that, I probably wouldn’t be the best fit for a home with shared walls like apartments or condos. A house where I can talk without bothering the neighbors would be much better.
Since I’m still young and learning everything, my perfect home will be one that has patience, consistency, and a sense of humor about puppy antics. In return, you’ll get to watch me grow from a fluffy little “bonsai” into the loyal, majestic guardian Great Pyrenees are known to be.
If you’re ready for a big puppy with an even bigger future, I’d love to grow up with you.
Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care. For the most complete information regarding this animal, and all of our adoptable pets, please ensure you are visiting our website directly at www.RescueCrew.org. You can also access the necessary online forms here as well.
