Hey there, future mom, It’s me—Olly! I’m a playful three-year old, 14-pound papillon dachshund (my mom thinks) with soft, fluffy fur you will love to pet! I’ll be your biggest fan, your cuddle buddy, your adventure sidekick, and I’ll shower you with daily kisses and excited squeals. While I like to play with dogs who 'get me,' my mom's other dog, who was here before me, is nice, but he's not my type. Since I am still learning some social skills, I think it would be better for me to be the only animal in the house, at least for now. I also want to learn how to keep my cool when I see other dogs and people on walks, since right now I get scared and feel like I need to defend myself against them with lots of barking and stuff. I hope you are willing to continue working with my force-free trainer to help me learn appropriate behaviors, and trust that I am safe when we are outside. I’m not perfect yet, but I promise I’m worth it!

COH Jaxx is a sweet 10 year old female Papillon Mix who was found as a stray in the City of Hawthorne. Jaxx is very loving and like to be in her humans arms or nearby. She is a gentle soul who will do well in any household and is good with other dogs and kids. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Salton Sea 5 is a 7 month old spayed female Papillon and Terrier Mix. She and her 4 sisters were rescued out of a hoarding situation in Salton Sea by our rescue partner, Cathi Perez. Meet Lara💗 Lara is a super calm small girly. She loves humans and gets along well with children, but is not really interested in dog friends. She’s super cuddly and calm, so the house size wouldn’t matter much. She loves going for a short walk and is trained for housebreaking, so it is essential for you to take her for a walk at least two times a day. She’s also indifferent to dogs or humans she meet outside, but wants to lead the walk herself. She sheds a bit - not a lot; mediate level, and is also really good at grooming, so it wouldn’t be a big worry. However, she doesn’t really prefer long car trips – she doesn’t eat in cars and is a bit afraid of being in them at the first time. She is not kennel trained, but does sleep in her own bed. She also loves to cuddle on human bed and sofa! Meet Summer! She is a 5 year old Papillon/Spaniel mix (we are guessing). She is 11 pounds and is a total cuddle bug. She is very smart and has very good house manners. She is housebroken, sleeps quietly in her crate at night and is not a nuisance barker. Even though she would love to join in with the other dogs to bark at the mailman, she has learned not to join in. Summer gets along with other dogs and likes to play with her foster brother occasionally. But her true calling in life is to be a lap dog! We feel her ideal will be one that allows her humans to be home more often than not. Her foster mom is retired now (so we aren’t sure how she would do if she was left alone for 8-10 hours a day.) But if your family has a staggered schedule or you’re retired then Summer might be your girl! She definitely prefers women to men. We aren’t sure what happened to her before she came to us but she takes a bit longer to warm up to men. She just isn’t as trusting of men as she is women. Honestly, we believe her 7th heaven would be a retired single woman who wants a loyal companion to just hang out with all day. She doesn’t need a ton of exercise, and she is quite content to lay in the recliner and watch tv with you. Summer is a shy and timid dog and needs a confident owner that can help build her confidence she tends to take on the emotions of her owners so if you are anxious, then so is she. If you are able calm then you will be able to help her be calm and follow you. She is needs an experienced dog owner that will help her overcome her “Nervous Nelly” habits. She is doing wonderfully in her foster home because her foster is calm and no nonsense with Summer. She needs you to be her pack leader.Our adoptions are restricted to residents within 30 miles of the South Bay area of Los Angeles. We do not ship animals or do long distance adoptions. Thankfully some amazing humans found him, he was rescued and repaired by the amazing folks at Hope for Paws! Chester is a few weeks into his recovery, and will make a full recovery!
