Gigi was found wandering the streets of Santa Ana, alone and unsure, until a kind stranger stepped in to help and brought her to AALOC. Despite every effort to locate her previous family, no one came forward. Now, this little survivor is ready for a fresh start — and a forever home where she will never be lost again. Gigi is a darling, full-grown petite girl weighing just about 10 pounds. Her soft, shiny black fur has a delightful “bedhead” look that seems to go in every direction, giving her an irresistibly charming personality to match. We believe she may be a Papillon/Chihuahua mix — whatever her lineage, she is 100% adorable. Sweet-natured and affectionate, Gigi loves being close to her people and thrives on companionship. She also enjoys playing with other small dogs and would do well with a canine friend her size. After fending for herself, Gigi deserves a safe lap, a loving heart, and a family to call her own. Roxy is a 7-year-old Papillon mix weighing about 14 pounds, and she still has plenty of bounce to the ounce. Unfortunately, as his elderly owners’ health declined, the dogs were left without proper care for a long time. Adogs gave the owners some time to say goodbye to their beloved dogs before safely rescuing Moonji along with five other dogs. 3⃣ Basic Information * With People: Is a little shy around strangers at first, but quickly warms up if offered treats. When male volunteers visited the Center, he approached first, asking for pets. If young children are holding treats, he may try to take them from them, so caution is needed. * With Dogs: Is not very interested in other dogs and prefers spending time alone. Prefers quiet and nonchalant friends. * Separation Anxiety: Unknown, as he currently lives in a group setting at our center. * Potty Training: Potties inside his kennel and also marks on poles. Will need basic training in a home environment. * Walks: When he feels uncomfortable, he might get stubborn and stop walking, but most of the time, he follows his handler well. * Car Sickness: Travels well in the car without motion sickness during short car rides. * Biting: Has a strong appetite so he growls and bares his teeth a little if you pet him when he’s eating. May get mouthy if you forcefully try to hold him. Doesn’t show aggression otherwise. * Barking: Sometimes barks when he’s impatient for food or treats. * LIkes: Loves treats! She was found in Highland on Easter alongside her pals Bernie and Birdie, like a little trio straight out of a storybook. While her past is a mystery, one thing is clear—Bessie is resilient, loving, and ready to start her next chapter. With her expressive eyes and lively personality, Bessie brings a spark wherever she goes. She’s curious, affectionate, and always up for a little adventure, followed by some well-earned cuddles. Now all she needs is a home to call her own—and someone to love her as much as she’ll love them. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications.
