At just 10 pounds, he was recently rescued in Costa Mesa after a harrowing encounter with a pack of coyotes. Though he was saved by a kind passerby, no owners ever stepped forward, leaving this brave pup ready for a fresh start with our rescue. Because he spent his earliest months learning to survive on his own, he is currently a “quiet soul” who is still processing the fact that he is finally safe. He isn’t aggressive; he’s simply a bit shy and observant, waiting for the right person to show him that the world isn’t a scary place anymore. He is looking for a home that offers a calm, predictable environment where he can truly decompress and let his guard down and being the first person to show him what a peaceful life looks like. He doesn’t need much—just a soft bed, a steady routine, and a patient heart to help him transition from “survival mode” to “puppy mode.” If you have a quiet corner in your home and some extra love to give and a playful dog to show him the ropes, you could be the turning point in this little survivor’s life. He’s friendly, affectionate, and gentle, with a sweet and docile nature that makes him easy to love. Milo enjoys playing with toys, going for car rides, and spending time with his people. Despite his playful side, he settles down nicely and has wonderful house manners. He does not bark excessively, does not destroy household items, and gets along well with other dogs. He’s happy to share his bed and enjoys companionship, whether it’s with humans or furry friends. Milo’s story is heartbreaking. He was thrown from a moving car onto a busy avenue and desperately ran after it as it sped away. Frightened and confused, he darted between cars, eventually he stopped on a sidewalk, where he was rescued. Even after everything he endured, Milo showed no aggression—only fear and sadness. Today, Milo has proven just how resilient and loving he truly is. He deserves a forever home where he will be cherished, protected, and never abandoned again. Health Condition * Neutered. * Microchipped, and undergoing treatment for heartworm. 2.) Rescue Story * Moonji was living in a yard in Gimje. Unfortunately, as the elderly owners’ health declined, the dogs were left without proper care for a long time. Adogs gave the grandparents some time to say goodbye to their beloved dogs before safely rescuing Moongji along with five other dogs. 3.) Basic Information * With People: Is a little shy and tense around strangers at first, but quickly warms up if offered treats. Accepts human touch well. * With Dogs: Is not very interested in other dogs and prefers spending time alone. * Separation Anxiety: Unknown, as he currently lives in a group setting at our center. * Potty Training: Currently does only outdoor pottying since he resides at our center. * Walks: When he feels uncomfortable, he might get stubborn and stop walking, but most of the time, he follows his handler well. * Car Sickness: Travels well in the car without motion sickness. * Biting: Is usually very gentle, but may mouth a little bit if you try to touch him forcefully. Doesn’t show aggression. * Barking: Is quiet; doesn’t bark or whine. * Likes: Loves treats! Even when shy, treats help him open up and respond well to training. * Dislikes: Becomes cautious and uncomfortable with loud noises or when held forcefully. Is uncomfortable when strangers approach him.
