Story
Cosmo is currently in foster care and looking for his forever home. He had a rough start in life because he was abandoned on the street, but that hasn’t impacted his love and trust in people. He is a happy-go-lucky puppy with lots of energy. He loves toys, walks, zoomies around the house, and fetch. He gets along with all dogs and has even been introduced to cats with no issue. He knows a few basic commands like “sit”, etc. He is still a puppy so he will need a patient home that will hide socks/shoes so that he isn’t chewing on them and that will also not get mad if he has an accident in the house. He is almost fully house trained, but will pee out of excitement. He is fully crate trained, does well on car rides, doesn’t get scared of loud noises like fireworks, loves treats, is working on not jumping on people and being mouthy/hyper but is responsive to “no” and will stop. He doesn’t bark much and hardly sheds. Bonus if he gets adopted to a home with another active dog.

Story
Located in Lancaster text or email for direct contact with Rescuer Approved for same-day adoption memeco635@gmail.com (661)609-2186 Hello, my name is Ruka I was a puppy on death row at a high kill humane society in Northern California. Without even giving me a chance they labeled me rescue only and kept me hidden from the public. When I came back positive for gerardia, instead of treating me, they decided they were gonna keep me in the back until I was ready to be euthanized. I was alone with other petrified dogs just waiting to go through a door and never come back out, I could smell death on the other side of the doors and I couldn’t understand anything that was happening, except 1 by 1 I’d see someone come take a dog and I’d never see them again, but thankfully, my rescuer stepped in and took me after seeing how absolutely defeated I was in that kennel waiting for my inevitable end. After arriving at the rescue, I didn’t understand that I was safe. I felt safer at the rescue but the trauma I experienced at the shelter has left a very deep emotional scar and as young as I am I still need time to trust people and to know that I will be safe with them. I desire love and affection I just get really scared thinking that I’ll end up back at the shelter so I would thrive better and open up quicker in a more calm environment with someone who can be patient with me, someone Who understands the psychological trauma I have suffered and is willing to give me the time I need to decompress and open up🥺 if you think that sounds like you or your family, please reach out to my rescuer (Her information is listed directly above my story) and schedule a time to meet with me. I am approved for same day adoption so if you fall in love with me after meeting me, I can go home with you. I promise if you give me a little time, you’ll see exactly what a sweet companion I can be. ❤️

Story
Meet Summer! She is a 5 year old Papillon/Spaniel mix (we are guessing). She is 11 pounds and is a total cuddle bug. She is very smart and has very good house manners. She is housebroken, sleeps quietly in her crate at night and is not a nuisance barker. Even though she would love to join in with the other dogs to bark at the mailman, she has learned not to join in. Summer gets along with other dogs and likes to play with her foster brother occasionally. But her true calling in life is to be a lap dog! We feel her ideal will be one that allows her humans to be home more often than not. Her foster mom is retired now (so we aren’t sure how she would do if she was left alone for 8-10 hours a day.) But if your family has a staggered schedule or you’re retired then Summer might be your girl! She definitely prefers women to men. We aren’t sure what happened to her before she came to us but she takes a bit longer to warm up to men. She just isn’t as trusting of men as she is women. Honestly, we believe her 7th heaven would be a retired single woman who wants a loyal companion to just hang out with all day. She doesn’t need a ton of exercise, and she is quite content to lay in the recliner and watch tv with you. Summer is a bit shy when she meets new people but once she feels comfortable and safe she is a happy, sweet little dog! She has tons of love to share with her forever family. Our adoptions are restricted to residents within 30 miles of the South Bay area of Los Angeles. We do not ship animals or do long distance adoptions. See our adoption policies for more details on our adoption process. If you are interested in adopting one of our available pups, please complete an adoption application. You can find the application at: https://noahs-bark.org/adoption-application. We will arrange a meet and greet with the pet with approved applications only. Please note, an approved adoption application and meet and greet does not guarantee you will be selected to adopt the pup. We do not show our dogs any other time.
