After a difficult start to life, arriving at the South LA Shelter with her three puppies as strays, she is finally discovering what it means to be safe, loved, and cared for. All she wants now is affection and to be close to her people. Mama Autumn has been busy doing what she does best, being the most loving and devoted mama to her pups. Now that her babies are growing up and getting ready to find their forever homes, it is her turn to find hers too. Autumn can be nervous around new people at first and may bark until she feels safe, but once she realizes she can trust you, she blossoms into the most affectionate and loyal companion. Now that they are almost 10 weeks old, they are ready to find their forever homes! Butternut is a big girl with a gentle heart. She takes a little time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, she’s all in for playtime. Ripley is a 1.5-2 year old long hair Chihuahua/papillon mix. She is only 8 lbs! Ripley is a very sweet girl, but she takes some patience and time to warm up to and trust new people. She was found as a pregnant stray, and has been a great and protective mama. Now its time for Ripley to find her happily ever after and see her blossom on her own. Ripley is nervous of quick movements, so needs someone who can move slowly with her at first. For this reason, she needs a home without children. She does well with cats. We don't know yet how she does with other dogs, but the few shes met shes been ok with. She is house trained, and also knows how to use pee pads.
