Eddie was adopted as a puppy and spent years in a loving home. Sadly, through no fault of his own, he found himself back at the rescue and is now hoping to find the forever home he truly deserves. This little guy loves the simple things in life—curling up beside you on the couch, soaking up snuggles, and being your loyal companion. He walks beautifully on a leash without reacting to other dogs or people, enjoys playing fetch (he's still perfecting the "bring it back" part!), rides wonderfully in the car, is potty trained, and happily uses a doggy door. Eddie also gets along well with other dogs and has successfully lived with a cat. Eddie previously shared a quiet home with an elderly woman, where it was just the two of them. Because of that, he truly thrives as a devoted one-on-one companion. He forms deep bonds with his person and naturally sees himself as their little guardian. He takes a little time to warm up to new people, and even after he's comfortable, he may still feel the need to look out for the person he loves. Eddie's ideal home would be with a single woman who works from home or is retired and is looking for a faithful little shadow to share life with.
