Story
This is the most special little dog. She was living in a homeless camp in LA. She came staggering out to the street covered in fleas and filth. One of our humane workers picked her up. She is now feeling much better, clean, and eating nutritious food. We have named her Trixie May. She looks to be a Papillon - Pomeranian - Chihuahua mix. She is 10 years old. She loves to be held and gets so excited when we talk to her. Trixie May is a treasure.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cameron was returned this summer - 9 months after he was adopted! Now he's looking for a REAL forever family.  Cameron is best described as a Cat-Dog. Much like a cat Cameron is happy on his own, and likes to be petted - but when he's ready. He isn't gonna try to steal the spotlight because he'd much rather hang out on his own - until he's comfortable. If you are looking for a fast friend, this is NOT the dog for you. But if you want to invest the time and let the dog feel relaxed and safe, he will repay you by letting you pet his chin. Cameron will do really well in a home with another small dog to help him feel more comfortable, or with a human that won't put too much pressure on him to be their friend. He is leash trained, crate trained and will need a dog savvy adopter. =============================================================== Originally, Cameron came to us after his owner was evicted and decided to abandon the house full of animals when they left.  Cameron and the two pack mates that we pulled with him were terrified. It's been 9 months and these cutie pies are available for adoption.  Cameron is the slowest to come around of the 3 dogs we pulled. While he is more comfortable hanging out by himself he does like people.  Cameron absolutely loves to run around the yard, and the more you praise how fast he is, the faster he runs - with a smile! Cameron is still shy and needs an owner that will go slow with him, but still apply a little bit of pressure. If you'd like to meet Cameron, come on down to our adoption center. Thursday - Saturday 11 - 4.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 6, 2026, 12:16 am

Story
Chloe is a beautiful small 1 year old puppy who looks like a miniature Golden Retriever blend with Papillion ears! She is as sweet as the day is long and is wonderful with other dogs, with children, and with kitties. Chloe‘s temperament would make her a perfect addition to any family who is looking for a pup to grow up with children. She’s around a two-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy, so she’s delightful with small kids. There isn’t an aggressive bone in her body; she’s a sweet mellow tolerant pup. She’s a playful and amusing little doll face. Chloe is a very smart girl! She learns commands very quickly and easily, and she’s attentive and loving. Chloe is not a barker or a wanderer. She won’t annoy your neighbors or dig in your yard! She’s well-behaved, friendly, housebroken, gentle, and tolerant. Chloe weighs about 30 pounds, and she’s full grown. As I said, she looks like a very small Golden Retriever! She’s also very affectionate, so she’ll make a wonderful family buddy. Of course, Chloe is spayed and up to date on all her shots – she’s ready for her forever home! I am a firm believer in having potential adopters take a pup home for a “sleepover” to see how your family, your other pets, and your new best buddy all get along. We always take our rascals back if it isn’t a good fit. To meet this beautiful pupper and the rest of my foster pups (and maybe even have a sleepover), pls email findabestbuddy@gmail.com or call 858-602-2061 • findabestbuddy@gmail.com • (858) 602-2061

Story
Meet Mia 💛 At just 5 pounds, this Maltese–Papillon mix has lived through more change than any dog should. After losing both of her parents, Mia is now looking for something very specific—a true forever home. The kind where she can settle in and never have to start over again. At her age, that could mean 10+ years of love, and she deserves every one of them. Mia thrives on routine and absolutely lives for her long walks. She’d love someone active who will keep that part of her world going. She also loves riding in the car and being part of whatever you’re doing. Once she’s had her outings, she’s happy to curl up right next to you and just be close—quietly keeping you company wherever you are. She enjoys being carried in a pouch, making her the perfect little companion whether you’re out and about or relaxing at home. Mia can be a bit particular (especially when it comes to food), but she knows what she likes. She may bark when she first sees another dog, but once she meets them, she quickly forgets all about it. She loves people, attention, and connection—but most of all, she wants her person. Someone who will truly show up for her, include her, and give her the consistency she’s been missing. This is a dog who needs the right fit—someone ready to give her the stability and care she deserves. In return, you’ll have a loyal little companion who just wants to finally be home—for good.

Story
Rescued as a stray from a homeless camp. Her personality is a little hard to peg. She’s a go with a flow kind of dog who gets along with other dogs. She has a quiet nature and rarely barks. She’s low-key and low maintenance meaning she does not require a lot of attention. For additional information call Lydia at 714-357-8405. If this listing is still posted, we are still accepting applications. We do not do out-of-state adoptions. We do not hold dogs, please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. We commonly receive multiple applications for a single dog. All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.
