Story
Meet 8 month old, 8 lb little Papillon mix, Taylor. Taylor came in to our center from an owner who couldn't keep her. She had a larger dog as a playmate, so we think she will get along with most dogs. Taylor had only been with a single person previously. She is very friendly and loving when she knows you, but will need time to warm up to each new person. Apply to meet Taylor at adoptocpets.org/adopt

Story
Meet Lulu!! She’s a gorgeous tri-colored mix, around 20 pounds. She’s very sweet, although a little timid. We intercepted her as he owner was dumping her at the shelter- they gave no reason why. She’s 3 years old, gets along with other pups, and she’s crate trained. This adorable girl is looking for a home that will love her forever, and she can’t wait to meet you!   Interested in adopting this pet? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.River's story. This poor boy was rescued from TJ Mexico. He was found in a ravine with water flowing through his little legs. I can't imagine how he could have gotten in there because there was no way in or out. He could have fallen in or someone threw him in there. Our foster literally had to jump in to get him and even though he was scared to death he still allowed her to pick him up and lift him out of that nasty ravine. Poor boy was emaciated, dehydrated, anemic, had Ehrlichia and his left eye was obviously infected. Today, this precious 4-5 year old boy is back to health and so very sweet. Even though he longs for human kindness everything is still so new to him so we are gentle with him and this is what he responds too. Oh, but I tell you when he warms up to you he's the sweetest little guy ever. We named him River, because of his strength and courage to survive. River, is now healthy, up to date on his vaccines, had a dental with several teeth removed and received drops for his one dry eye. Specialist said nothing wrong with his eyes except he's not producing enough tears which is causing dryness in the left eye. River, needs a family a loving family with gentle hands, someone who is patient and willing to take it slow and allow River to decompress and trust. He's a good boy and gets along with other dogs his size, he's mellow, loves his doggie bed, but when he sees you it's like his world lights up. River, doesn't need to be with other dogs, but if you have a small dog he can bond with that would be a plus. But most of all he needs love and compassion. If you live in the San Diego County or surrounding areas have a home with a secured yard and would like to foster or adopt River, then please fill out an application at tlck9rescue.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 24, 2024, 6:10 pm
