He and his friend were sent there due to no fault of their own, and thanks to RED both made it out. Jackson has taken some time to warm up but he has learned that life is good, and many of his ghosts have melted away. He does occasionally get nervous still, but boy is Jackson such a happy lovely boy. He adores people wholeheartedly. He has gotten along with all the dogs we have tried him out with in our care. He loves treats and soft beds, pets and kindly being held. He is still nervous with certain transitions, but he has been adjusting better and faster with us each time something changes (location of sleeping quarters, play group, etc.) Due to his need for clarity and guidance we are looking for an adult only home for him that is willing to show a little patience to bring out the sparkly side of this happy boy as we have gotten to know him here. Most of our dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Izzy came to us after her Mama passed and family wasn't able to take her in.  We were told she had no teeth but at her exam, she did have a few rotten molars still so we took care of that and now she is toothless.  She's in good shape for a 14 year old and gets around great with the dogs in her foster home!  She's very social with people and other animals but loves to hang with her people.  She needs a fenced yard or she will roam.  She barked a lot when she first arrived and was probably just confused where she was at as it's subsided to normal Pom barking.   She needs a soft landing with someone who's home most of the time and will keep her coat brushed (it was an awful mess too when we got her with a lot of bald patches from chewing fleas).  Since she has no teeth, we feed her canned food, Nature's Domain, from Costco.  She's done great on it and is in much better shape than when she arrived.   Who can give this doll a well loved and cared for rest of her life?   Animal Information: Jameson is an estimated 2-year-old, male, and a Corgi/Cavalier mix (this is our best guess) currently weighing approximately 28lbs . The shelter environment was overwhelming for him, and he’s been a bit shut down in his kennel, but he has remained incredibly sweet and submissive with staff throughout. In playgroups,  Jameson  was neutral with other dogs and more interested in calmly exploring and sniffing around the yard than roughhousing. When a larger male dog attempted to mount him,  Jameson  gave an appropriate correction and then calmly went back to doing his own thing without any issue. Since his arrival, he has been introduced to several dogs at the Rescue Center, and he has been friendly with everyone. He loves hanging out in the office with us while we work.   Jameson  is a soft, gentle soul who is eager to connect with people.
