I adopted Johanna from the KC Pet Project back in April. She is five years old, but otherwise I don't know much about her history. She was found as a stray. She is VERY smart, excited, and eager to please her owner. She needs problems to solve and lots of exercise. She loves cuddling and being in your space. She is not good with other dogs, so she needs to be in a home where it's just her. I do not know how she does with kids, but she really loves people and wants to play - walks, tug of war, tearing up a stuffed animal. She is house trained and picks up on commands quickly. She has a lot of energy. I would otherwise keep her, but have found I don't have the space or time in my day to day life to give her what she needs.

Ive been through a bit lately - when I arrived&#44 I had a pretty rough skin infection that caused a lot of my fur to fall out. But good news... Im healing beautifully and making huge strides every day! My glow-up is well underway. <br/><br/>Im a gentle soul whos ready to enjoy the calmer side of life. At this stage&#44 Im not really into wild play sessions - Id much rather spend my time relaxing&#44 soaking up love&#44 and enjoying peaceful companionship. Id prefer to be the only dog so I can have all your attention&#44 but I could potentially live with a very mellow&#44 respectful dog who understands that Im not interested in roughhousing.<br/><br/>What I am interested in? Kind voices&#44 soft beds&#44 slow walks&#44 and someone who will love me for the sweet&#44 soulful boy I am. Hi Im Cruz! Im handsome gentleman who wants to be friends with everyone! I came to the shelter when my previous owner passed away but a very nice caretaker brought me to GPSPCA to find my new home! I have enjoyed meeting the staff here and love singing my soft song to people (Arrrooooo!). I walk very well on the leash and would love to get out&#44 explore the world&#44 and go on adventures. I like toys and know the sit command. I could be friends with other dogs too and would love to meet them ahead of time. As an added bonus&#44 I am fuzzy enough to snuggle up and keep you warm on a chilly day. Stop in and meet me today!
